I am sure there is more to it than that....I'm pretty sure this would be worth a few grand in any court of tribunal if this is true.

god knows what is in their contracts being in football but I would assume they would have to follow the usual statute to consultation, business case etc. Restructure the role slightly and down grade it and bingo..There must be. Not really-an employer can change your terms and conditions if the correct notice/consultation is given and reasonable grounds are given as to why. The perfect excuse here is relegation and lesser budgets etc which anyone looking from a neutral (outsiders or judge etc) point of view would deem that a reasonable request.I'm pretty sure this would be worth a few grand in any court of tribunal if this is true.

They will just add extra workload change the title and boom it's a new job.Something doesn't add up here. Why would you make the kit man redundant and then immediately advertise for a kit man? If that's what happened then he'll take them to the cleaners at a tribunal. Just changing job titles or messing around with the job description isn't going to get them off the hook for that.

It's more the handling of it than the cut itself, for me at least.Was he offered a pay cut first or just straight off made redundant?
What is baffling is people like PSB group etc push a boycott and gloat about people not going but will be outraged about cuts like this?

Double the price of the tickets for the Mark Robins dinner and kit launch to 20 quid, announce it will also be Andy's send off with him keeping 10 quid per ticket sold and that he will get to reveal the new kits. Then as a surprise, Froggatt (or whoever) present him with next seasons kits with 'Harvey' on them and the number 25 for his years of service, all signed by appreciative former players. All the anger would be gone, it would cost the club 2 shirts and the PR would be vastly improved.
So if this right he would have been dealing with players unhappy, disgruntled etc, I bet his caseload was jammed to the rafters.Telegraph said his official title was welfare officer in recent years so they will have removed some of the duties to bring it back down to kit man and along with it a pay cut.
