It won't just be yourself in the public sector mate - the average joe working at Tescos, or Amazon, or any one of the big corporations or firms will still be paid the bare minimum they can get away with. Fair play if you run a small business and try to look after yourself and your family - but I'm under no illusion that big employers treat their staff as anything other than monkeys wallowing in their own shit.

Well, here we are on the eve of the General Election and I haven't got a clue who to vote for or even whether to vote at all.
Whilst historically leaning to the right, I'm not at all taken with the arrogance that seems to have enveloped the Conservative party. Last time round I had a visit from the defending Conservative MP who must have been sweating on the outcome. As it turned out, he got elected by a 7% majority (including my vote), but we haven't seen anything of him this time. Maybe he is quietly confident - although I don't know why - and resources have been diverted elsewhere? Just a tacky A4 leaflet shoved through the door, similar in style to the Liberal Democrats and Greens.
As for Labour, their canvassing has been very organised and at least they have tried to engage on the doorstep. I have warmed to the theme of 'for the many, not the few' but am very dubious of the leadership qualities at national level of Corbyn, McDonnell, Abbott and Thornberry and how it would all be paid for. They're on a par with the champagne socialism practicised by the obnoxious Blair, whilst sharing the ability to bankrupt the country in the process.
So is it a vote for the have it alls, the want it alls or the never will haves? Not an inspiring choice at all.

It won't happen in Britain, 38 years of Tory and Tory lite policy means that wage growth has been stagnant despite alleged economic booms.
They can afford it over there because the German government has an industrial policy and has protected its industry. Tories and their New Labour protégé did as much as they could go destroy Britain's, preferring to back cheap credit and create a mirage of wealth. They blame the failing of British industry on the workers, not the old school tie Tory wankers who ran the nationalised companies into the ground ready to be sold off.

The approach we have taken over the last 30yrs hasn't really served us too well if you consider the shit state of the nation. So perhaps it is time to try a different approach?
