If anyone didn't have a clue about him and read this thread they would think he is the best Labour leader for generations. He doesn't have any faults because others have done similar things. That makes him the perfect leader. I have asked a few times about the other Labour strong MP"s that would join him in a government. Totally got ignored.

I look forward to coming back to this thread on Friday when it goes into meltdown if Labour don't win. Just like the Brexit one. I didn't vote for Brexit just like I won't be voting Conservative. But some people just don't want to look further than their nose when it is a lifelong belief or something that is a benefit for themself.

I said something similar earlier in this thread. You could tell that some just don't understand basic economics.

In the last few years the company that I work for has been investing quite a lot. It has created well paid jobs. But they only invest if they get a full payback within 3 years. If corporation tax is raised by nearly 50% that 3 year target would be a lot harder to reach. So they would invest somewhere else in the world. So no jobs created locally. Then you have the jobs created elsewhere with the extra materials needed to be bought in. And it isn't a short term thing.

It is like myself. I won't work OT as if I do nearly half of it goes to the taxman. But if the higher rate of tax payable started at a higher amount I would work OT as it would be worth doing. I would then pay more tax and so would the company that I work for.

When questioned about it last week she said she has changed her hairstyle lots of times since like her views.

Doesn't any of this even slightly worry anyone?

The other problem is that the plan to hike private school fees by 20% (which will end up more as they would increase VAT) and have not factored an inevitable move across to the state sector. That could easily add £2 billion a year to the sums.

It is hardly going to be behind a manifesto that includes a lot of state intervention. It thinks that 40 years of neo-liberal economics in this country is great (despite the fact that because of it both the state and the population are indebted to record levels).

Got 4-1 on Cunningham being re-elected in Coventry South. He had a decent majority last time and the new Conservative candidate isn't from Cov, they've brought in someone from Surrey.

Hopefully will have a few quid, will need it to pay for private healthcare when the Conservatives inevitably win.

they will lose their VAT exemption, not actually increase fees, (though that is probably how the schools will make up the short fall). Money to be used to provide free school meals for all primary school children.

Which is an utter waste of money and typical class snobbery. As well as mot costed accurately as fees will rise and the state will have an influx of more children.

Mr Corbyn wasnt happy. He was one of only a handful of MPs who opposed the original agreement.

Mr McDonnell opposed the 1997 agreement.
