New striker

My bros mate bumped into Bigi at the Wheel pub where Bigi was out 'celebrating' his glamorous move & he told said bros mate that, apparently,he was pissed off & never wanted to go but there was no way he could entertain the thought of playin in league 2 & that,if Cov had've stayed up,he would've seen out his career there
He also said about his time at Toon that he knew he was never gonna make it there but he was on 30k a week & he knew he wouldn't get that anywhere else...he ended by sayin he'd love to go back to City one day as Scotland's so far, haha
Sounds like a right mercenary little twonk if true

£30 grand a week. You are having a laugh mate. Knock a nought of and you will nearly be accurate.

Nobody knows I'm a secret agent
Nobody? So you don't even know yourself?

I should go look in your wardrobe and see if you are being bugged. Also, while you're there have a look for a bow tie and keys to a Lambourghini.

If you find them, they're mine.

There was an article on net worth.com which I linked once which said £18 or £19k a week.

However when he had his odd move to Rangers and they paid all his wages an article indicated £5,000 a week

Looked in wardrobe, just a copy of gay news and how to cope with a small penis guide

I thought the implication was that his agent engineered the move to Scotland so compensation didn't have to be paid. Which would probably mean a little bigger signing bonus and agent fee would be received than if compensation was paid out.

That's how I understood it too

Exactly. Not in a million years was his on £30k. Probably less than £30k a calendar month which will include pension contributions and employer NI contributions. When players "salaries" are quoted they usual include all "associated costs" such as cost of car or medical insurance for them and their families and sometimes gross salaries which include win potential bonus's and "loyalty payments" etc. Lots of exaggerated bullshit talked about players wages in my experience.
Always makes me smile when people talk weekly salaries. All the clubs of which I have knowledge quote monthly salaries.

Has Walcott signed yet?

Just a thought, ..... but if Thomas and Bigi have the same agent, then surely that would make him a double agent, wouldn't it?

A special agent

Akinde would be good, he's a monster who excelles at root one football,
He would certainly give us a plan B if we needed it.
He would have had a field day if he played against us last season, with the amount of free headers we gave away, and our powder puff back four.

Akinde would be an awesome signing. But would prefer Ricky Miller from Dover

I'm afraid he was I know his mum in law, his gross earnings at Newcastle was £6million, not bad for about 20 first team appearances

We definitely need a proper goal scorer

Reuben Reid is now out of contract, can't find anything on him being offered a new deal by Exeter

Where will a striker fit, we currently have:

Beavon
K Thomas
McNulty
Biamou

Obvously we all want a 20 a season striker but Im already struggling with us having 3 goalies, 5 first team strikers would be madness!

Johnathan obika is available too after leaving Swindon.

Don't forget the goalscoring machine Ponticelli...

I'm still failing to see where our goals are coming from - and we'll need a lot of goals to get promoted.
Beavon has not been prolific since he played for Didcot Town and McNulty not since he played for Livingston. All many years ago.
Neither is tall: McNulty 5'10" and Beavon 5'7".
Biamou is a complete unknown from non-league. Wikipedia does not even have an article on him. Think Kyle Lightbourne.
At this rate we'll need several 10-goal a season midfielders.

If you find a 20 goal a season striker then I think Thomas would eventually move on.
It's very rare to get promoted without such a striker. It can and has been done by the likes of Burton but it is rare.

I think Robins is waiting till he gets the compensation from Thomas leaving.

I think you have to give these guys a chance in the pre season games, if they start notching then that can carry through. Obviously we also need to create the chances for them. Last season that was one of the most depressing aspects of our play.

Do we not have four keepers with Addai as well at this level two keepers should be plenty

Robins said that Addai isn't near to the first team yet. He also said the 3 keepers would challenge each other for the shirt so sounds like he wants 3.
