Had a Dedra Turbo myself, the thing was superb really and I shouldn't have got rid, really. Just a square box, but used to scare people shitless when it took off, the turbo lag was... enjoyable and its cruising speed was well above the speed limit... apparently.

We had all of those in the fleet NW. One of my colleagues who owned a Porsche 928 borrowed a Croma turbo for a business trip and sadly wrapped it up on the M5. Couldn't handle the acceleration lol

Was going to buy one of these about 20 years ago ( really cheap) until I looked at the log book and it had had 37 previous owners ,considering it was only about 10 years old I thought that was some going...and they were just the ones who bothered to send the log book off

My old boss had a Lotus Carlton. Gave the warehouse manager the keys and told him to drive it to the garage for a service. The guy jumped in, slammed it in what he thought was reverse and put his foot down to spin it out into the empty car park. Unfortunately, it had a 6 speed box and he put the front end of the car through the wall, and ended up 4 feet from the bosses desk.
The car later got nicked, and was used in a few jewellery raids. Featured on footage shown on Police 5. (keep 'em peeled)

I know this is mostly an appreciation thread, however I'm just curious to see if many others here find that hideous fucking Vauxhall Mokka as painful on the eyes as I do?

These crossover SUVs are terrible to look at, and at least 4 people I know own them and wish they hadn't bothered.

Remote controlled solenoids. It's how you got into all the doors as the locks were completely removed.

No haven't seen it. Might keep an eye out next time.

Have seen a couple of old american pickups and mustang about though, wouldn't fancy trying to park them in a normal parking space!

I have too many motors. Or so the wife says. Was looking at buying a Triumph Stag a few weeks ago. The wife said no. Had to agree with her for once. At the moment I have a motorhome, the one on my avatar, an MG, Grand Voyager 3.3 V6 and a Honda FRV. The Honda is for my dog. He only sits in the front. If someone gets in the front he sits on them. He is a Welsh Collie but is the same size of an Alsatian. The Honda is a 6 seater with 3 seats in the front.

Will get a Stag when I can decide which one to sell. But they all get used.

Here you are Houch, the owners were staying at the same hotel as us in Shanklin 4 years ago. British Hotchkiss Society holiday. They Tour the Isle of Wight every year apparently. Interesting history of these vehicles.

The thing I liked about those old cars is how when you drove them, you could see the bonnet in front of you.
In modern cars the bonnets slope down so sharply, you see nothing.
That last pictured Austin was a lovely little run-about. I love the little lamps on the wings.
