Anything planned with fans after the game? Oxford invite fans for a BBQ and beer afterwards. Great pr.

Not as far as we know. Players waited around he training area mingling with fans (side you will see the group photo with the CCFC flags - will only see my head between two players shoulders. Grimmer and may be Obrien And since I'm short I may not have got in at all!).

Spoke with Burge, Obrien and Grimmer at he end. Nice guys

Jones, DKE cane over to shake our hands.

May have been something on at the bar after players got changed but we didn't hang around; we had bikes to get on :)

On the way home we changed our route after changing the google nab from 'bike path' to car and hoped for he best that it didn't take us on a highway. Turns out the route was much better, not necessarily easier as still hilly, but not half as difficult going through farmers fields, who coincidently had locked their gates before our return journey (probably after wondering why the hell 3 brits on pushbikes with no gears or suspension were trampling through their fields!).

Tip of the day; never trust google for cycle routes :)

Whereabouts is it?

PS. I know its in Spain before anyone gets smart.

The hotel? The training session? Our cycle adventure? :)

Club were based at a lovely hotel complex! Also there were Chelsea U23's, Bournemouth U23's (maybe 21's?). Huge complex and very hilly (well the walk we had to do after our bike adventure was quite easy despite being very steep :))

We're based in San Pedro De Pinatar, where we were supposed to be playing bother games

Fair play to SW88 (top fan and SBT legend)

Thought we were a bit top heavy for left backs and suddenly we have 3 with knocks and the only fit one had a 'mare' in the last match by all accounts!

Cheers!

That is a concern. If we have to start the season with Leahey at LB I think teams would quickly realise our weaklink and need to get it sorted ASAP.

Interestingly speaking with one of the new players they agreed with me that it was good that they came in early so didn't miss much of 'our' pre season. Just worry that if we have to try and get a LB in now they won't be up to speed as the others are

If Camwell, Stokes, Haynes aren't ready, could a DKE do a temporary filling job (great picture by the way - hope you aren't too saddle sore!)?

I think that would still leave us vernable on the left but if there were assurances that Stokes would be back soon it may work short term

My ass is fine :) slept well though. Latest I've had breakfast this week is now

I'll be doing between 100-160km a day, for 9 days in Sept.

And I've got little legs.
