He knows he looks like a Twonk on this. All the times was so adamant that the legal action has no impact on Wasps at all. That they were liars when they said it was a distraction.
When in reality there was 30 million reasons why it was in Wasps interest that the legal action was stopped.
To be honest even if SISU were not looking for money from Wasps. The legal action was still costing Wasps time and money just by having their legal teams reviewing it all.
So even if they hadn't been threatened in February. They would have still been looking to say to CCFC the legal stuff is a distraction let's finish the talks when you are done suing everyone ( i.e. ditch this legal action and you might be able to stay long term at the Ricoh)
They were in my opinion trying to bluff SISU into ditching the legal action.
SISU were trying a counter bluff with the BPA.

At the end of the day trying to destroy ACL.
Then trying to sue the council for having the audacity to not let theirs and a charities business go under.
Then trying to destroy Wasps.
Has left us one season away from becoming homeless. Will eventually cost us some top class academy facilities. Also it will eventually lose us our training ground. It has also significantly contributed to a massive reduction in fan base and division 4 football.
Grendel embarrassingly cheerleader most, if not all of these actions.
When right at the beginning we could have had a long term rental deal with greater access to income streams. Slowly built up a good relationship with the council.
Or actually just put in a decent bid before Wasps appeared.
No instead we got rent strikes, Northampton, sue everyone.
Marvellous well done SISU and well done those of you who encouraged it.

I agree. But TBF many were like SISU and didn't see anyone as immoral as the Wasps owners ready to take advantage of the situation. And the odds are that if CCC didn't find immoral owners like Wasps they would have got their own way.

I am prepared to look beyond Sisu and their failings and ensure that the survival of CCFC takes precedence over everything and if the team on the pitch is performing to a better standard then I am sure many will also look beyond Sisu.

Ah the Sixfields thing again. How predictable. How sad.

If there's something the last few months has taught me, it is life really is too short to waste time arguing about something as trivial - in the grand scheme of things - as football.

Therefore from now on I shall be ignoring tossers like yourself (and the many others) who basically only come on here to poke and get a reaction.

Have a good time doing it to others, I'm sure there's still plenty of sport to be had.

I am prepared to look beyond Sisu and their failings and ensure that the survival of CCFC takes precedence over everything and if the team on the pitch is performing to a better standard then I am sure many will also look beyond Sisu.

Having a winning, attractive team will make a difference. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I think we will get promotion this season. How will success on the pitch affect the huge problems that the club has with no stadium, no academy and perhaps no training ground? The logical thing to do would be to negotiate another short term deal at the Ricoh. Fisher, Sisu and logic don't seem to go together. Wasps obviously knew what was coming up in court but said they were willing to negotiate. Will that still be the case, particularly if the likely appeal gets through and the process rumbles on?
I am looking forward to the season, winning games, scoring goals, being near or at the top of the league, visiting grounds I haven't been to before. The feel good factor a winning team generates can't be underestimated. However, the club is always more important than the team. Our club remains in a terrible state.
Just imagine how bad things would be if the team doesn't do as well as we all hope and think and we actually struggle this season. What would then be worse, a stadium with fans who are still there and protesting, or a virtually empty Ricoh where most have given up and stay at home?

Opportunistic yes. Have said so many times before.

Immoral yes. They took their club away from their supporters. Just the same as it would be if SISU moved us to London if a stadium became available cheaply. If you think it is OK that they moved away from London then you will be happy for us to have our club permanently moved away from us.

Is it? That we know of (there may have been more attempts for all we know) ACL attempted to engage with SISU at least two times before before they finally sat down and negotiated a return. Who's to say that if SISU hadn't sat down before we moved to sixfields a satisfactory deal couldn't have been reached? Didn't suit SISU to do so as they thought they knew best. Which as most of us were saying before the event even without the benefit of hindsight, they don't. It was a balls up and has cost the club millions plain and simple.

The Trust Q&A said negotiations were at am end, and mediation was refused.

Now, we're going over old ground but, mine, and bawtryneal's, point still stands.

I take your point but I have no interest in Wasps and their back story has no relevance to my thinking but to answer your question I would fight for my club until it was no more. If they moved to London they would not be my club, just as I could not support Coventry City in Northampton. I just think they are doing what they feel is best for them.

I said from the start I wouldn't go if it became permanent. It was temporary, if that changed I'd stop. It didn't change.

Most fans I know, not all, couldn't give a shit about Sixfields now, we cant turn back the clock, as all we are bothered about is ridding the Club of SISU not going on and on about the past.

If it makes you feel happy to do that, you fill your boots, but it seems to me the biggest thing that divides fans on here is the hopelessness of our situation and that no one can find an answer on how to rid us of SISU. Just my opinion of course.

Actually I reckon some fans thrive on a good divide. Gives them a battle to fight, a chance to let their hair down. Like the lot on the CT site and Twitter, etc. They'll disappear when SISU do.

I think before they got a letter saying damages were been sought from them. Also before JR was actually put in play. They may have said something about it not harming the relationship.
However when someone wants to make you pay an extra 30 million for something you only paid 20 million for. I guess that changes the landscape or as Tim Fisher used to say 'focuses the mind'

Is that the one that when were negotiating with ACL originally. That Tim Fisher was right not to agree a deal and continue to stall, that we should never agree a rent deal and he should keep on stalling till ACL go bust. It will work.

Or

That Northampton was just a bluff and we wouldn't move there.
Then when you changed your mind and thought the move was a good thing and it would eventually work as ACL would go bust.

That we should never agree a long term rent deal at the Ricoh.

Which stance do you mean?

My stance is that Wasps were pissed off that they were getting threatened for damages and that the legal action did bother them. They would be insane if it didn't.
That the same people threatening them were trying to negotiate a long term rental deal with them. That they tried to bluff SISU into dropping the legal action in exchange for a deal. Without coming directly out and saying that that was what they were doing.

We are homeless next summer as if they would not take the chance to apply that as pressure to remove a major threat to their business.
