I know the fans have been on short rations success wise but i think some are going way over the top.Yes it was great yesterday ,but if we lose the next match fans will be slashing their wrists again.Saturday means nothing if we don't build on it,notice other teams at the bottom won as well. fingers crossed.

Think positive thoughts - far too much negativity for too long now.:D

I understand what you mean. Its just the amount fans who have a go at people who are being optimistic one minute but then shout from the rooftops when we have one good game. I know supporting Coventry makes you go cuckoo but sometimes I do despair! Need a big comedy leather glove to slap some sense into them. We have always had an outside chance of staying up, few wins or losses away from deciding our fate now.

We have been in this situation many many times before and come out of it. The only time we didn't was with Strachan and in my opinion he had clearly lost the plot. I think Thorn has the players with him and there is spirit in the camp even though they must know there are better squads elsewhere.

We will survive.

Away results will be the key. February actually looks ok and we need to gain some momentum because March looks tricky to say the least. If we can put ourselves back in contention over the next five weeks or so we will know a lot more by then. If we don't then it could be over by the end of March imo.

I have supported for 40 years and only once can I remember being bottom all season. We normally fall onto it. If we survive I will take it all back and say give thorn a proper 3 year deal.

The worry is we won't get anything from Blackpool, their home record is excellent and our away is the worst in all 4 divisions.

The only glimmer of hope is that we can't keep being so unlucky away all season. If we're to stand any chance at all (and I still say it comes down to Pomey getting a deduction) we HAVE to beat Forest away and Ipswich at home.

blackpool is gonna be real tough, cant see us getting anything BUT if we beat ipswhich in a 6 pointer the saturday after we will still be in the hunt for safety big time

but yes...we MUST start picking up points away, think well need 6-7 away pts

Three straight homes wins has given me false hope. The away games will be key though like they say above but with Ipswich at home next I'm confident that'll be a 4th win on the bounce at the fortress. Doncaster and Forest don't look like they are putting up a fight so I think we're back in with a shout at least.

Hand on heart I think it's too big an ask but I have gone from 'resigned to the fact' to 'a little excited' in my mood towards the city.

IF we get a win at Blackpool and against Ipswich we have every chance of being out of the relegation zone within 180minutes of football. I think we really have a chance of getting out of this mire now. 17th is quite within reach, although I feel 4th from bottom would make me very happy.

Totally agree with Shmmee and covcity4life.

Next two games for teams above us (that we are chasing):

Brizzle - Reading (A) & Leeds (H) - 0 points
Millwall - Watford (H) & West Ham (A) - 1 point
Ipswich - City (H) & Midd (A) - 0 points
Forest - Derby (A) & Watford (H) 1 point
Donny - Hull (A) & Reading (H) 0 points

City - Blackpool (A) & Ipswich (H) - 4 points.
