If they go after Jan then there's still time for Hoffman to invest in loans to keep us up.

Not getting carried away till the takeover is complete. Can't take another false dawn

Not this takeover thing again, all these predictions that this will happen, or that will happen, by the end of the week/month, well someones actually going to get it right in the end.
I will not beleive any of this until it is on the club website.
I'm fed up of being up one minute then let down the next.

all we can do is hope the deal gets sorted so we can loan players in atleast and then we can hopefully continue our good run that started with the boro and be unbeaten for the rest of the season !!!!:D:D:D:D

Fingers crossed we get closure - either Hoffman has a credible bid and business plan and the deal goes through or he is all huff and puff and he goes away. I am fed up with the "will he, won't he", and I am fed-up with the Key's nonsense.

I am just a realist and do not believe the hype. My job is such that I deal in the hard facts and I am cynical by nature.

I do hope Hoffman is genuine and credible but if he is not I want him to just go away and let SISU get on with it. We have some positivity with results of late and we are in a relegation battle and that must be the focus for the remainder of the season, not the off-field pantomine.

I wait to be shot down now by the anti-SISU brigade but my opinion is my opinion - so shoot me:slap:

On the news tonight they said SISU werent interested in selling but would accept shared ownership so not bothered about it until I read that they have gone and we own half the stadium.

If this takeover goes through, and there is a billionaire involved with our luck the Mayan prophecy will come true and the world will literally end this year PUSB

Hmmm, another Darknight post that says nothing we don't already know and makes no provable hypotheses.

I'd be very surprised - seeing as they've now formally announced talks - if they haven't already got close to some sort of agreement/heads of terms about a takeover.

This sounds like its further down the line than maybe we think.

All in all very promising news today.

Cheers for the post DK. Paxman II has also stated on a seperate thread regarding the talks, something very similar. He was saying that one day last week there was 7am - 10 pm talks going on at the Ricoh with GH and his associates.

As for those who doubt those supposedly "in the know", the word from these people has always been that they felt that SISU would sell what they could in Jan and go nowhere before that time. It's Jan, Juke sold, Sammy likely to leave, McPake out on loan, only a loan and a free brought in and what do you know, SISU are now willing to talk to Hoffman, what a surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if SISU want out now. Fingers crossed.

Could just be tactics to drive up the price and recoup as much as possible for investors.

There is obviously investors there with a voice if SISU are finally ready to sit around a table and have a discussion. I think it is time to sit tight. We all would have preferred to just hear it's happening or not but we know for sure now that there IS something going on behind the scenes but I don't personally believe for one second that talks are not in a somewhat advanced stage.

why do they want to wait till the end of jan?

Well it gives them the window to sell players and recoup some of their losses. They got > 1.5m for Juke. People will come in and say that they owed Everton etc, but like I said, recoup some of their losses. If they owed Everton, then it is a debt that they owed that they're paying off. Clingan looks likely to leave for a few quid too. Not sure who else. McPake going out is prob covering Nimely's wages if we are paying any, we got Herman for free and just have to pay him a wage. Prob see Roy O'Donovan and one of the kids going out on loan too in order to free up some more money for loans. You wouldn't know who else SISU would have in mind to sell before they hit the road but the sooner that they do the better for everyone connected with the club.

I expect SISU to hire a hitman to take "Goals" O Donovan out straight & claim on the insurance !

The transfer window works in two ways for SISU. Other than cashing in on who they can they can reduce the wage bill by getting players to leave for free/go on loan. Then any players coming in to have their wages or part of them paid by their club, or on low wages. This makes the balance sheet look a lot better. The better the balance sheet the more value they might put to our club and the less they also lose whilst trying to screw more cash out of any bid.

KingHarvest (is that prawn cocktail, rump steak and black forest gateau?) - we all know who the investors are - silly, blinkered people with loads of money to lose......
