I do like a trip on the Sir Walter Scott steam boat on Katrine, the trossachs lovely, if you want to hop in with me its no problem for Carlisle, I live just near Fallin near the spingherse industrial estate.

you should take your lad to Stirling he will get in free, and you will be 13 pound , its a good day !

Great to see another Sky Blue in central Scotland !!
I went to watch Stirling v Cowdenbeath a few years back and was shocked at the bad language (I was in with the Fifers though!!) but maybe now he's older. I've got a friend I used to go to HR with who lives in Falkirk so I am planning on a game there too

Best thing is we still have so much scope for impeovement. Its not like ee r carving reams apart and having 10 shots on goal a game etc

Excellent win and top of the league. Two games and looks good...two competent performances against teams that will finish top half.
As for the first goal. I would be livid with defender, keeper and ref (in that order) if it had gone against us. But as it is well done mcnulty for taking the opportunity and playing to the whistle.

What a brilliant start to the season. We're top and we've got the joint top goal difference. Plus Chelsea lost at home so my mate will be spitting. What a great day!

I lived in Fife for a good 8 years, had a lot of fun going to Dundee for games but if you haven't been then Dunfermline was the best. Piping hot steak bridies and fans who wave their shoes at the away end (literally). Match day food in England isn't quite the same.

Will do, I work alternate weekends and was in today. Next time they are home on a saturday I'll come and watch them (as long as it's not Oct 14th as I'm away then!)

I caught the video of the goal earlier in this thread. What a bizarre turn of events! Clearly he'd taken it, and it was one of the worst attempts at a pass back I think I've ever seen!

Good win again, seems we were the better team again today overall. Glad to get a win against Slade, we always seem to lose against ex managers and players traditionally!

Can't wait to see that on channel 5 tonight and their assessment of it.

So I’m thinking of getting iFollow for away games, loved having that stream today (even if sw88 was two minutes ahead).

Is it £110 up front or can you pay monthly? And does the price come down as the season goes on?

Good performance from our lads.

Once we were one nil up our game management was excellent, we slowed down their free kicks our keeper runs away from the goal kick to have a "chat" with the defence, then took his time finding the ball.

No idea if it goes down, you can pay match by match to watch it though. Think it's about £7 a game.

That's where the experience and players like Doyle come into play, they know when to rush and when to slow down. When to nudge the ball away etc.

Awesome. I’ll probably pay per game then if it comes down buy it in bulk.

They should offer it to UK fans along with a discount for tickets, but you lose the stream for that game. Or an away only package. I’d be on that like a tramp on chips.

Did not know this. Just paid the £110 up front like a nob. Need to watch at least 16 games to make sure it's worth it!!!

I don't see how the 10 yard thing matters. Free kicks are taken all the time where there's an opposition player within 10 yards, especially around the middle of the pitch. If the team taking the kick is bothered then they can ask the ref to get the player to move back, but if they don't do that and kick the ball straight to the opposition then who's fault is that?

When a quick free kick is taken the 10 yard rule does not apply, it would only apply if Mcnulty had deliberately obstructed Clarke from taking the free kick.
Yeah, exactly.

As I said before, had the kick gone forwarded the ref would have penalised McNulty, but it was a quick free kick backwards. You would only see a ref enforce that if the forward is standing right over, or next to the ball.

I went to Dunfermline for a pre-season friendly when toss-pot Coleman was in charge and we were really shit. It seemed to be a well run club with a great emphasis on attracting younger fans, if we lived close I would have got my son involved. They seem to have fallen on bad times recently and hopefully those days are behind them

Offences and sanctions

If, when a free kick is taken, an opponent is closer to the ball than the required distance, the kick is retaken unless the advantage can be applied; but if a player takes a free kick quickly and an opponent who is less than 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball intercepts it, the referee allows play to continue. However, an opponent who deliberately prevents a free kick being taken quickly must be cautioned for delaying the restart of play.

So no cheat to be found there.
