Take the positives. Robins can now make the necessary changes such as starting the Duck and Andreu, no longer under pressure to keep the team together.

We're crying out for a target man, Beavon can't do it and I have a feeling the same will apply to Biamou.

Team next week:
O'Brien
Grimmer
Willis
McDonald
Stokes
Kelly
Andreu
Doyle
Duck
McNulty
Jones

I'm surprised he bought Biamou on - he looks well out of his depth.
Reminds me massively of Leon best back before he broke his cheekbone or whatever it was. No confidence and doesn't look all that interested in making a difference

looking at the 3-0 or 4-0 predictions today I thought we were getting above ourselves, there are many teams that will turn us over this season.
Newport just proved it, weak up front we don't have a 20+ goals a season forward.

Yeah maybe a bit over the top but I want to see vast improvement in the next few games to think he's up to this standard. He doesn't have any impact on games at all.

I agree i.provement needed. Althoigh i wouldnt really read anything into todays sub appreance.

Well that was fun getting away from the Ricoh Car Park B! Just got out the space and through the barrier, and then surrounded by unhappy Newport fans and being controlled by the police with batons and sprays!

Couldn't go anywhere. Just had to sit wondering if my car was going to be hit! Was a couple of times. And I now know that my wing mirrors do fold inwards after all :)

Just seemed typical of football fans unfortunately wanting to kick off for kickings off sake! And for a change we didn't seem to be the ones asking for it, unless our fans were behind us and being penned in by other officers

Credit to the police though who handled it well!

If I was them I'd be jubilant and walking away with a smile on my face. No need for it at all.

I haven't had one whisky since the last defeat of last season and its been difficult to abstain but by god I'm going for it tonight.
Bloody supporting Cov isn't good for the liver, I was hoping for a lot of whisky free Saturday nights this season but I just hate losing
Now where's my Nurofen for the mornings hangover

Also with regards O'Brien the save he made from the deflection in the first half was great and I doubt many keepers at this level would have managed that.

Most seemed to be getting on to the coaches just fine then suddenly there was a swarm of them! Few took tumbles, and that was even before the police got involved, even though they seemed to be suggesting police brutality (certainly wasn't the case from what I seen)

Its a pathetic thing that all welsh football fans do , unfortunately unlike the Scots they mean harm.

Let's not knee jerk. 9/10 times That's a 0.0 or we nick it 1.0. A freak goal gave them the win. We need to get used to the fact team are going to come to us and defend for their lives. After they scored they went 6 at the back. Take it on the chin and move on if we lose a few in a row then worry.

Agree. I am disappointed, but not despondent and I can't see us passing the ball so badly as that again this season. I counted at least 9 very poor misplaced passes in just the first half alone.

Bad day at the office and a shockingly soft goal to give away.

One thing that concerned me today and always has been a problem, is that of Jordan Willis' distribution. It is very, very poor and usually consists of exocet missile style long whacks downfield to no-one in particular. The amount of times we conceded possession in that fashion was quite worrying.

The difference between him and McDonald is very palpable and McDonald's clearances and long passes always seem to have more thought and intelligence about them.

We need to rectify that, as we don't have the type of striker that can latch on to high pumped balls at pace.

I don't think anyone covered themselves in glory today, bar Tony. Their goal pretty much summed up everything we did today. Lackluster, lack of concentration, couldn't keep the ball going in the direction we needed it to.

Stop all that positivity nonesense right now! You will get strung up else. He was doing what he is paid for on that one...but not on the one which went in

Rod was ok, the keeper apart from that one calamitous error looked quite useful, Doyle plays his role well still................other than that though, we will have to change this one route to JJ every chance we get, especially with his one footed limitations. We need a midfielder who can carry the ball and open up defences, we have a team of Sammy sideways !

Some skinny balding rat faced tosser called rod McDonald a wanker when being interviewed by David busst afterwards. The little prick being backed by three of his mates giggling like school girls.

The kids lucky .... very lucky he never got sparked out as one or two people were not happy.

Not a lot Otis, I heard some kiddy shout 'wanker' but not in any general direction. I was on a table about 20ft away, he was just another badly brought up plonker in the City !

Ah, now makes sense!! Read it first time as a a rat faced tosser CALLED Rod McDonald, as if McDonald was the rat faced tosser.
