We created more when he was on mind you. Nazon was even less effective.A winger who is the slowest player on the pitch, can't beat a man, poor first touch, gets no crosses into the box... any other attributes you can think of?

Either play him central, or don't play him at all. He should have been off at half time yesterday, it was clear that Vincenti was a waste of space.
With only one proper winger, Robins should consider playing more narrow once Haynes returns. Jones has looked good when he goes down the middle, so he could fit in possibly behind the striker.
Never been any good remember him being in the Aldershot team 4 or 5 years ago and he was poor then. No technical ability.
Looking forward to you starting off a Biamou, McNulty ad nauseum threads. Let's support them and give them time until they gel as a team. I want to see half a season of them before being judgmental about individuals. They are the players we have for the season - better supporting them than pulling them to pieces, surely?
I never thought I would say it bt Carl Baker would offer more than we are currently getting creatively. He is a free agent.
Exactly right. Remember our last game in the Champ v Southampton away, he was ducking out of challenges that were 60-40 in his favour and crossing the ball into the stand with no oppo player abywhere near him.Whenever the going was tough baker was always shite.

City fans always require to have a player they hate this season its Vincentis turn.
And he can't head a football ball , professional footballer, do me a favour !A winger who is the slowest player on the pitch, can't beat a man, poor first touch, gets no crosses into the box... any other attributes you can think of?

Worth reminding ourselves of this:
Vincenti has described himself as a "utility player" and considers his versatility as an asset. When Vincenti was signed by manager Peter Taylor at Stevenage, he was originally deployed as a defensive midfielder, and would often play a "holding midfield" role. Taylor described Vincenti as a box-to-box midfielder, saying he provides both defensive and attacking prowess. Vincenti says that his favourite position is at attacking midfielder, where he "can make late runs into the box and hope to get on the end of any crosses". He also says he is comfortable playing in central midfielder and as a forward, but would ultimately "play anywhere the manager tells him to". As for his strengths, Vincenti is "most comfortable with the ball at his feet" despite his 6 ft 4in frame. He does consider his height to be an "attacking threat", which is one of the reasons he likes to arrive late into the box.
So I think it's fair to stay that sticking him out on the left of midfield and aiming every goal kick at him isn't going to get the best out of him.
He does actually have pretty good feet for a tall fella and sometimes manages to take the ball out of the air and bring it down. I think he would probably be better more central, not as a striker but as attacking midfield. That way he can potentially get the ball, lay it off and then get in the box.
you wonder if wing backs would suit us.
Haynes and Grimmer are better going fwd than defensively. Would mean we could have Stokes, McDonald and Willis at the back. 2 holding midfielders, 1 in the hole and 2 up top. Wing backs creating the width.
The theory is ok if we're trying to get better width but practically where does someone like Jodi Jones fit into that shape? It limits him to the hole and while his decision making is improving, it's the key position in that formation and i wouldn't fancy him in there yet plus the current flexibility to switch wings is something that I do think is working well right now. I don't think Grimmer is technically good enough on the ball to play a wingback role either, some of his short passing has been ropey. Not the worst idea in my view. I'd still want at least one of those two holding midfielders to be prepared to play further up the park for spells where we are on top though.
Essentially it's playing 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders. Plus the keeper that's 8, leaving just 3 out and out forward players. That balance doesn't work in L2 for me while teams are happy to take a point of us - we simply need to unlock the middle of the pitch right now with someone who will create more than Kelly and play 20 yards higher.
