Elaborating on whether or not Wasps would be willing to take part in mediation as the club looks to secure a long term home, Mr Eastwood said: “Our position remains the same – we would like Coventry City to remain at the Ricoh Arena and are willing to listen if they do make an approach to discuss options.
Wasps ended talks, CCFC invited them to talks with someone independent observing, Wasps refused. Yet we're supposed to believe Wasps are ready to talk and any problems are down to SISU.
I can tell by your posts you genuinely believe Sisu have been hard done by, but your a clown if you think that was a genuine bid.
Nobody gives a toss if SISU have been hard done by or not. Its just that some people do actually care what happens to the football club and its survival takes priority for them above 'getting one over' on SISU.
No ome believes that but clearly many people want it believed that wasps are the good guys.
Exactly. This thread proves it. Straight away people are jumping in pointing the finger at SISU excusing anything done by anyone else. Wasps could offer us a totally unaffordable deal and SISU would get moaned at for not accepting it.
You are correct Dave. SISU did make a slightly higher offer than Wasps, but were with conditions. Wasps offer was unconditional.
Its like being in a timewarp. As has been discussed many times before the Wasps offer was unconditional as they had already had access to the information required. How on earth anyone can have a problem with the football club doing due diligence to ensure everything is above board is beyond me.
Plus I take if for granted- unless you can show otherwise- that most of Coventry accepted the council's position- there have been no campaigns or marches against the council selling to Wasps. Yes, we are pissed off, but apart from waiting for SISU to come back - them having said that they weren't going to - there weren't any other obvious solutions to the problem.
This post has completely summed up the point of this thread. We've been talking about how Wasps and CCC can do what they like because people just blame SISU for everything and you're turned that round to some sort of endorsement of Wasps!
There were many other solutions. There were also other options prior to SISU's arrival. The council have never wanted CCFC to have control of the ground, that's the plain and simple fact people happily ignore.
