Forest in March 1986. 0-0 was a sign of things to come... Should have known better than to come back.
1983 for me too - remember watching v west ham and wba (dad must have liked teams beginning with w!).1983 v Brighton might have been 2v1
13th March 1993 - we lost 2.0 at home to Arsenal. Sat in the Sky Blue stand.
Stood with Dad about a third way up on Kop, right behind goal. Two things I remember quite vividly were the 'indecision' as I saw it, of some City 'yoots' by wearing a Cov scarf on one wrist and a M'boro one on the other. Almost like some sort of sporting gesture. I would discover the real reason for it soon after.I was at that game. Hot day , up on the crows nest.
bloody hell. I remember that. That was the game when oggy came rushing out and a mix up with the defender. Cant remember who that was. Ian wright tap in. Was sat in the West Terrace.
Three things - Bay City Rollers 'Bye Bye Baby' was playing over the tinny tannoy system as we entered the ground.Stood with Dad about a third way up on Kop, right behind goal. The other being a kid getting the ball full in the face after a cross/block tackle as we or maybe them were bearing down on the byline. Not as savage as a 'casey' but still by the mid '70's 'modern' footballs were heavy beasts. He went down like a sack of spuds, soon recovered tho - no doubt aided by the laughter and general piss taking of his mates.
Dave Armstrong still had a full head of hair back then.
That vaguely rings a bell. Opening of the new east stand? My first game was, I think, a preseason friendly in the late 90s against Ajax and we lost 2-1 think.
That was already in Div 1!?THAT game against Wolves. Don't remember much apart from sitting inside the white wall without my Dad. He was far more worried about it than I was. Man that noise when we scored will stay with me forever! Division 1 here we come...
PUSB
Yep...I was there too. That's where I had my first & last taste of football yobbism. A boot up the arse & then he immediately scarpered before I had even a chance to see who fck had kicked me. One day I shall find himCcfc 0-0 wolves. 1982.
Boring apart from danny thomas and hatelys haircut..... I was 10.
My first ever game was actually bristol city v leeds united in 1979......I didnt really watch the game as I was hypnotised (and probably traumatised) by the violence before, during and after the match........what the fuck was my mad old man thinking.....
I was remembering playing Ajax, but didn't go - that could well be it!That vaguely rings a bell. Opening of the new east stand?

No, not the best....now that's one hell of a memory
Think it may have been Feyenoord we played August 1997 and we won 2-1If anyone could find this I'd be greatly apprecitive...

I don't remember much of it because I was a small kid, and I've tried to find it on google but couldn't and I'm a bit worried I've got things mixed up haha!
No, not the best....
I'm waiting for sw88 to put his first game as a 6 year old with full commentary!
That is a very unfortunate typo!his dad took to him to his 1st game when he was in nappies. he has 2 shits on goal
I was there that day too. And Harold Wilson was sat in the stands. He was a fan of them.My first game was City at home to Huddersfield on Oct 3rd 1964. We were in Division 2 and they beat us 3-2.

I'm sure Harold Wilson was at the game as well. I seem to remember the stadium announcer saying he was there as a Huddersfield fan!
Thought I was right BBR! :emoji_thumbsup:I was there that day too. And Harold Wilson was sat in the stands. He was a fan of them.
Yes we signed Boateng from them after that. Sure we played Ajax or somebody in a mid season friendly in the Strachan era as well. Maybe in January?Think it may have been Feyenoord we played August 1997 and we won 2-1
My dad was a staunch Labour voter so loved that Wilson was there. Then again he said Blair would be a good leader so less said on that !Thought I was right BBR! :emoji_thumbsup:
