And after 2 hours, here it is lads....first come first served -But we wouldn't be allowed to get on a plane until a couple of hours after the game.

We bought a striker...Er forgive me if I'm wrong but I believe CCC own Baginton airport and is leased to WDC. It's all bollocks as we can't buy a striker let alone a stadium. Ricoh or we are fooked I'm afraid.
no I'm just saying you're a horrible little man.So you buy into his rhetoric do you. Screw the retirees who've worked all their lives, often in adversity, and provide handouts and benefits to an expectant generation who can't be bothered to pay their own way.
What a great society that's going to be

Don't believe everything that you read.Oh yeah, the expectant generations who will be the fist in god knows how long to be poorer Than
their parents, the same generation that when it actually finds work 'will find itself having To sign a
zero hours contract.
There only hope of providing a home for their family will be in the guise of rented accommodation
At the mercy of largely unscrupulous landlords, who will laugh in their face when told they can't
Afford the rent this month as there employers cut their hours by 50%.
BHSB is exactly right, you really are an odious little man.
Be ideal for Real Madrid in a few years to fly in when we play them in the champions league.
Don't believe everything that you read.
I am part of the generation after the baby boomers often quoted. I live not far from an old couple who bought their house for £1,700. They were at a stretch to buy it. They are the generation before the baby boomers. They in turn were at a stretch to buy theirs. Mortgage rates went up to 16%. Look what they are now.
The difference is these days is the latest phone is needed. How about a new car? Holidays all over the world. Nice things ro have but not really needed.
I worked minimum 12 hours a day minimum 5 days a week. I sometimes worked over 100 hours a week. And I also studied to become a mechanical engineer at the same time. And I had kids. A lot of my work was for agencies. No holiday pay. If you didn't work you didn't get paid.
There is a massive shortage in my job. The pay starts at about 30k. My place can't get enough. Same as the whole area I live in. The problem is many don't want to make the sacrifices for up to 5 years. Then they moan that it is hard out there. Yes it is hard. It always has been. But in my day you pushed yourself to the limit knowing that you would be better off in the long run.
My eldest did the same. She is now married, no kids and an accountant. They have just bought a 4 bed house with land. My next one down is also a homeowner. He gets married in a few days. The next one down has spent years moaning how hard life is. But finally the penny dropped. He then did what he should have done years before. He went into training. He has now just landed a job with decent pay and good prospects.
I know not everyone can do well in life. But sitting on your arse and moaning about everything and not trying to do anything about it won't get you anywhere.
I worked hard to get to where I am now. I am 50 next year. I am now at the stage when I can just about afford to retire. Think I will work for another 10 years though. My little girl was 9 yesterday. My little boy will be 8 in a couple of months. I have finally taken my foot off the gas. But still no new car for me. My newest is 12 years old. I look a pauper to those who can't afford the new car they are renting that goes with the latest phone, best laptop, lovely holidays and latest gear whilst struggling to pay their credit cards.
My generation didn't buy what they couldn't afford. They didn't get into debt when moving into their first home. They were either given furniture that was past its sell by date or sat on the floor until they saved up for it.
One day I will die. The same as all my generation. My money will be passed down to the next generation. The same generation that don't make years of sacrifices and moan about ours having everything. It was bloody hard work.
The big mortgage thing, just buy a cheaper house if they are going to struggle living somewhere else.
with many jobs paying around £8 and even a cheap house costing £100,000 grand that's still a struggle to get the deposit together and make the monthly payments.
What Astute says about training is right to some extent but not every body has it in their locker.
When I was growing up you could do a fairly menial factory job and still afford a half decent house on one wage! Those days are over, that's why I think it's harder now.
To get a half decent two up two down by me you need a £40,000 deposit and a joint income of £48,000 thousand. That makes things a lot more difficult than it was for us.
I'm sure we've had this chat...
when you get to my age repeating yourself goes with the territory, don't know what Nicks excuse is!!
Just annoyance of people's expectancy levels
Nothing to do with believing what I read, I to have worked all my life from factory's to apprenticeshipDon't believe everything that you read.

That's the thing, if you can't get a half decent house in a certain area then either change the area or be prepared to get stuck in to a bit of DIY. No point me moaning I can't buy a decent semi detached house in Finham or Styvechale and it's everybody else's fault.
TBF to SISU as 1st time buyers it was always going to be difficultAre we really discussing a hypothetical location for a hypothetical stadium that's going to be built by people who hypothetically want to build one?
I thought we'd moved on from this fantasy?
I do the opposite. Move somewhere decent, attempt some DIY and turn it in to a shithole! The big mortgage thing, just buy a cheaper house and put some graft in on it if they are going to struggle living somewhere else.
People won't buy a shithole house now, they want it done ready to walk in that they can't really afford in areas they can't really afford to live in.
the couple you've mentioned would drive me mad, but I can give you plenty of examples of people who work their socks off and don't have new cars or holidays or big houses but just get by.
Ha ha ha. You've just described the situation I've been in the last couple of years. The irony being that when you can't admit your wrong and I'm right you like to pull the "haven't you got any DIY to do" card out as if I've been doing something wrong by putting getting my house done ahead of attending games. Now you're telling me I was doing the right thing all along. Ha ha

tbf it's one of his more ridiculous ones.So are you saying Otis was wrong to start the thread?

It depends if you are giving it the outraged fan of the week act but you don't bother going to games. I am sure you could spare 2 hours of your day if you really wanted to.
Are you talking about me, Willis?the couple you've mentioned would drive me mad, but I can give you plenty of examples of people who work their socks off and don't have new cars or holidays or big houses but just get by.

I didn't realise we had to pass every thread through yourself for vetting before a discussion is started. Talk about moaning.....
