Weather looking rather chilly in the north west for Saturday, current forecast is a high of 3c where I live (about 60 miles south east of Morecambe) and a low of -4c, though may not be as bad on the coast.

Only 470 sold so I guess this will be our lowest following of the season

I thought that was how many that were sold on the 1st? Will be about 600 now.

Good following at this time of year - really important game for us as well, as Wycombe (Akinfenwa) at home will potentially be a tough one.

The forward slash

In my younger days (mid to late 20's) I lived in Chadderton. Enjoyed it as it coincided with Joe Royle building at good side at Oldham: Frankie Bunn, Andy Ritchie, Ian Marshall, Denis Irwin, Roger Palmer, Mick Milligan, Earl Barrett, Paul Warhurst ....I could go on a great squad.

Oldham Breweries dished up a good pint of OB and then there was also Robinson's.

Ah, Oldham's glory years - they had some good players, Rick Holden Barrett too, they are now a zombie club like us really. The Oldham Brewery doesn't exist anymore though the odd old pub still sports the green and red label? Robinsons is from Stockport, the predominant brewery round here being JW Lees on the Chadderton / Middleton border.

No potg unless they change their mind at the last minute don't understand that decision at all
I have just spoken to Morecambe ticket office as I was going to wait to see how bad the weather is on saturday before driving down and was told that there are no tickets available on the day for away fans but there are for home fans. He said it was on police advice and it will be the same for us at Carlisle on the 30th but said that I would be able to get in the home areas as long as I wasn't wearing any Coventry colours

I can’t decide what to do ring my nephew to get me freebies in the Morecambe end and see if I can get moved or just buy tickets in our end.

The police classify it as a category A game but it's hardly Chelsea/West Ham ffs. I told him I went to Accrington and bought tickets on the day and whilst we have the odd idiot we are not renowned for causing trouble. Surely any troublemakers will have already got tickets and letting us fill the home areas is more likely to cause trouble, it really makes no sense at all

I agree, and this is why it doesn't make sense. If the whole game is all ticket different story but it's just encouraging people to go in the home end.

If it really is about the weather just check the forecast for saturday the day before and decide then. You can buy a ticket online until 12pm Friday and collect at the ground.

There is a snow warning in place from 00:05 on friday to 18:00 on saturday and they are forecasting it may get as far south as the northwest midlands. We got caught out away at Carlisle a couple of seasons ago where it was really bad in southern Scotland
