Well, hate to say I told you so, but I said at the start of the season we didn't have enough cover in midfield, but a number of posters dismissed that notion and said we'd be fine.

I was worried that we only had Doyle and Kelly in the middle really, with just Ben Stevenson as back up.

We were overloaded with strikers (Biamou, Thomas, Beavon, McNulty, Nazon, Ponticelli), but rather weak in terms of numbers in midfield.

To be fair I don’t think any of us could have predicted how ineffectual Stevenson would be this year.

We also had no idea that Shipley would have to play a big part or that Bayliss would have to come in.
