Always get a performance like this after one like Stoke. Disappointing but we’ll bounce back as the new players bed in.
Just so long as they don't think they are in bed when playing.

So we could have had a 0-0 draw today.
Goalkeeper is the least of our problems every single goalkeeper in the world makes mistakes.
What you need is strikers to cancel them out we really should have won today clanger or not.
Just had nothing in front of goal, Exeter were truly aweful.

Just googled Akinfenwa - he is 35 now - just know if we bought him, he'd pull a hamstring and we'd barely see him play again !!

Robins

I think could have been more with chances we’ve had

Shot ourselves in the foot

Mistakes in the first half

Totally unlike us

Not dealt with Stockley

Mistake puts us on a back foot

Pitch played their strengths and we had to deal with that

Second half we should have taken our chances

Keepers made good saves at the death

Poor decision making and execution

Lack up of communication for goal and it’s unlike them

Disappointing

Another good opportunity wasted

They were there for the taking

McNulty and Biamou didn’t click

Trying to get some help in that department

Playing on Biamou’s mind

Need support up top and help

Ponticelli unlucky With keeper stop

Keeper lucky with last ditch effort

Positives this stage of the season is picking up points

Performances are OK

Kept them away from goal all game bar one and the goal

Can’t look away from the fact we have to be winning Games

Out the top 3 - that’s how tight it is

Can’t dwell on it

Got to get back on it as games coming thick and fast

Feel for Biamou for not getting goals but you have to be ruthless

If your not, someone will take your place

If Biamou flicks something on we don’t read it

We’ve got to get better

Two loanees need to get match fit and up to speed

No idea about transfer movement. We have our targets but got to wait and see

Yep.

We should have brought competition in for him anyway, even if he had been playing well.

I think he's done okay, but he has no-one breathing down his neck for that target man position.

How do you remember all that and type it that quick?

I haven't ignored anything. He made a good save, You could go through the past 20 games and pick out any number of good saves that Burge has done. People were saying O'Brien was the best thing since slice bread after keeping 3 or 4 clean sheets despite not having a shot against us. The first and second thing he does results in goals against us. First throwing the ball in his own net and then coming out when he had no right too at Yeovil, his decision making is poor at best, all 4 goals we've conceded from keeper errors (Burge & O'Brien) have cost us games we should be doing better in. O'Brien has played in less then 10 games for us and I can count at least 4 major fuck ups already. He is not the answer (neither is Burge). Just don't make out O'Brien is something he isn't.

I find it quite strange how both keepers have done the same errors, long distance tame shot they let slip through their fingers and coming for balls they had no right to come for.

Burge need to be current number 1 as he makes less mistakes. They both need to go and be replaced, the quicker the better.

Lob is more commanding despite mistskes. He claims more crosses and he is a better shot stopper. He will become number 1 this season i feel

Let's be honest we've learned nothing new today, the teams still short on certain aspects and shown we've players fit got there level.

Consistency is a issue, but that's the level...
We've no way of retaining the ball in the attacking 3rd when Biamou is taken off....
Goals are a issue in the side...
we're a few players short currently of a side fit to challenge for the autos.

Is it doom and gloom, no.
The leagues full of shock results welly and we've lost to a side on a good run of form at home and Chesterfield beat free scoreing luton.

Gifting goals and points has to stop tho in order the make the play offs.

12 points from goal keeping errors alone this season.

I will sum up the current team if I may, we have a nucleus of 6 decent players, 3 or 4 half decent and the rest lucky they are not on checkout 4 at ASDA.

When we do well the 6 ... all perform. When we don't its down to 1 or 2 of the 6 not performing or being out of the squad for say injury.

Winning against Stoke is a blessing for MR as it sucks in the plebs that think they will get on a Wembley trip or some band wagon experience and this week on this forum there was more talk of the tickets to MK than this match which backs up what I have just said.

What is needed is a decent striker to partner Macca, ( that will make 7 players ) we also need someone to back up Bayliss . ( 8 Players) . That's all we need and if we get that we have a chance of auto. If we lose against Swindon next week it could be tricky but not over. This league is the worst football I have ever seen and hit and hope from every team the norm hoping that one of their '6' does something special.

He did pretty much. Big hints.

Said it's ruthless, if you don't do it someone comes in and does it.

Then went on to say he wins the headers and flick ons and we don't read it.

I do agree we need a similar type of player who can score obviously.

MR then went on to say list of targets but January is notorious for difficulty getting them.

it's if they become available.

Personally I'd love Alex Revel in

Think o brien made 1 clanger and had a poor game at Yeovil and was rushed to Be replaced by gianluigi burge
The problem is the GK only needs to make a single mistake to cost you the game.
That's why the GK should be the most expensive player on the team.
JH recognised that immediately when he signed Bill Glazier.
A good solid GK also improves the entire defence since they have confidence on what is behind them.

No, no, no! A league 2 side should have someone of the standard of Gianluigi Buffon in goal!

Reading between the lines, for me he was saying we are getting someone else in (or trying to) to replace Biamou.

We'll have to agree to disagree. We are talking about who is less shit, would you agree that neither are particularly good and need replacing?

Finally you can hear Robins is frustrated by the front 2. McNulty and Biamou are hopeless as a strike pair.

This window is last chance salon to get the right player up front to help mcNulty.

Thing is Max is probably a really nice decent guy but Robins HAS to be ruthless now and get someone else in, if he does and it works he becomes a hero if not well lets not go there

I hope so, Biamou does everything but the obvious. He's the only player of the target man type we need in the side.

He has to play while the pitches are like this until another target man comes in.

We've other types of strikers but the obvious strong target man who gets goals. They are the types who get you up the pitch and in key areas.

Hmm guess what? I was saying that about him in October, he is a dream for a opponents defence as no one knows including himself what he is trying to do. I sounds cruel but he is not capable of operating in professional football despite what you all say.

My first post about him pretty much said the same but I got so much abuse it was ridiculous.

Bottom line is we need two target men and that breeds competition.

The bottom line is if we don't score we don't win, the amount of games we have lost this season by 1 goal could so easily have been turned around IF we had a goalscorer taking chances, I know we are in the bottom tier and McNulty to his credit has picked up a few lately but did he get 1 of his chances on target today? I missed the 1st half so not sure but he fluffed at least 3 chances 2nd half...didn't even trouble the keeper.

We are creating some chances but we need someone up front with McNulty who CAN score...he will pay for himself in no time at all..
Luton have more of a +goal difference than we have scored
"We don't score we don't win" I'm sure that phenomena only applies to us

Burge can go and develop somewhere as well
That's fine but we need a replacement.
So you would sooner have O'brian in goal then? Me I wouldn't
Name me one keeper who hasn't made a mistake or 2?
People just want a scapegoat.
Well sorry to tell you that it won't change the result.
We just don't have the killer instinct. Pretty poor in all departments today that said we still should have beaten this Poor Exeter side

I appreciate your views on him and the killer stats in his performances and what we measure him on isn't up to it.

He was a gamble and played far more than he likely thought. A goal in the league should of come but it hasn't.

It's easy to say it in October, November, December but the windows closed then, as MR said they've targets but it's getting them.

It's clear we need a Biamou type who is developed and played the level but it's getting one.

Until we do Biamou has to do.
