He clearly enjoyed his first trip to the retail park in Coventry......

No home fans? Our average attendance is 1K more than theirs.

Not like their ground is anything to write home about.

No fan culture? I couldn’t tell you the first thing about Swindon fc? I don’t even know what their nickname or history is ...???

A dreadful little small time outfit that we have to play off as rivals nowadays

The guy must have had a bad day, literally no comparison history wise between the clubs...

Mind you, hopefully he won’t be coming next season...

There is a comparison...our history is a lot better than theirs!

The result obviously didn’t help his experience - however I understand his beef with the Ricoh. I so wish we had a city centre ground, walking distance from the station and pubs. But it is what it is now.

Yeh get that but no community, no pride and no fans....S O U R

And one of my top 3 ever kebabs which I had after we played there a few years ago.
Where were the other two?

Of course he’s speaking absolute bollocks on those subjects! I’ve met a few Swindon fans who seem to think they’re a fucking superpower - delusional.

They're the biggest club in Wiltshire, get your facts right!

One was in Alexanderplatz Berlin and the other was from a mobile kebab van near Rainey Street in Austin. Honourable mention to the istanbul in the Butts which was very good in the 80s.
May have had one from there, the bread incredible, yet It could simply be that I'd had around three hours in a nearby Irish bar. B-)

Used to go to the resturants at the back regually the old owner sold up when he retired was never quite the same.

I can only think the author was rendered delusional by the experience of leaving Swindon for the first time in his life and being flabergasted and perplexed as to why his surroundings were no longer that of a dire depressing shitehole.

Plenty of decent pubs if he spent 5 minutes looking, I have been in the casino once and i am on the same page as him on that.

The biggest thing I know ever to happen to Swindon Town FC is when they had an airplane who played for them upfront in their one season in the Premiership.

I reckon we were the only team that season who didn't beat them. Funnily enough it was our best finish and points tally of the PL era

The roundabout outside the County Ground is a more impressive spectacle than the ground itself.
Small town, small club, small minded fans....................Jog on.

Drew at home. Chris Marsden played for them and ran the show pretty much. What a player he was.

(think we won away?)

Sure we lost away. I was there(!) but can't remember much of it!

Anyway, Swindon may be bleak, the County Ground is old school desolate, but can't help but agree with his views about our flatpack ground. At least the County Ground's in town, with a history.

Not a fan of the March of Progress.

We lost 3-1 away, Fjortoft scored twice or maybe a hatrick.
