Another problem is that if it was for rugby only the grass would be 3 to 4 inches long, not much good for football.
Dead rubber against an irish team in horrible weather.
World domination ? I would guess that is still the intention.
To have grass 3-4 inches long, you need to have grass there in the first place!!!Another problem is that if it was for rugby only the grass would be 3 to 4 inches long, not much good for football.
Dead rubber was it? Wasps knew that there was an outside chance of qualification depending on other results. Its a shame other posters on here have Rugby knowledge and catch out your utter drivel.
Oh and the pitch is crap.
Harlequins (bottom) to beat La Rochelle away ?
Even I knew it wasn't going to happen.
I'll settle for top team in the midlands though.
Can agree on the pitch.
Michael Doyle to do a Ronnie Radford style goal on the mudbathIt's all part of a master plan to knock out Man U in the 5th round
That's ridiculous. Why are there two games? We need to get the Crewe game called off or moved I think, there are 2 games of Rugby the night before it.
You are #FakeNewsWhat a twat I am! I take it back, next one isn't until the 24th!
The game v Crewe in March is away!
Strikingly clear that the Ricoh pitch isn't being maintained at all looking at This! They only missed the 1st 3 games of the season playing on that pitch, and with 2 rugby teams playing as Well that pitch will of seen a lot more action than ours!
Newport, apparently 2 rugby teams and a football team!
Granted, they did have to play away games at the start due to work on the pitch!
No way are the parasites the top team in the midlands That honour belongs to the rugby team that bears the name of our ciyHarlequins (bottom) to beat La Rochelle away ?

Just looked into the pitch at Rodney parade. Cost half what the Ricoh pitch cost to be laid at £750k, and is pretty much the same "hybrid" technology that's used at the Ricoh.

Yes our pitch is 2 years older, but surely the more bedded in the grass, the thicker and greener it should be??
And as I think about it more, last 2 season's, as soon as the final whistle blew, w***s staff were out on the pitch, filling divets, pulling over heat covers, watering it, etc etc. They don't even come out with forks at half time anymore!!!
It's clear they give not 1 fuck about the state of the pitch, and I believe any rent agreement should hold this fact in the clause. If the pitch reaches states of disrepair then rent payments fall.
After all, if you were to rent a furnished house and the living room carpet was threadbare and showing the concrete through, you'd expect the carpet replaced. And if Not, you'd either reduce your rent to unfinished and lay it yourself, or you'd move out and live somewhere else!!
maybe that's exactly what w***s want! The Ricoh to themselves without the backlash of kicking us out! Or, if we stay, fix your own pitch out of your own pocket!

I suspect that CCFC do not come in to Wasps thinking on this subject, perhaps they are happy to play Rugby on a churned up pitch as it may suit their game.Well maybe this nonsense is part of Wasps negotiating tactics over extending the rent deal?
Minimal maintenance till CCFC comes up with a number they're happy with.
I seem to remember that CCFC also did not bother much in the penultimate season at the Ricoh before they moved to Northampton.

CCFC wasn't responsible for pitch maintenance as a tenant was/is it?
I think that was the situation before the Northampton move. The CCFC groundsman (that went to Leicester eventually) did the upkeep & if you search I think you'll be able to find a story (whether from horses mouth or rumour) that said he wasn't supplied with an adequate budget.
Look: Grass is greener on other side of the M69 for ex-Sky Blues groundsman
Or it isn't being maintained properly.Says they didn't get a very good return on their "investment" perhaps they should be speaking to their suppliers and complaining, that would be the normal course of events. It is not as if the suppliers didn't know what it was going to be used for or how often. Who knows that course of action may already be under way hopefully anyway.
