With only 6 days left anyone getting impatient?

Not sure I am impatient yet - appears we have tried for a few players... Hopefully, one of MRs targets will come (don't think we can wait until our cut from Madison deal).
I'd rather no one in if they won't add to the squad (preferably a first team player) than a player who adds nothing (Yakubu!). We might be able to pick up someone on loan (even Duke added some goals).

No, January is a tricky window it usually starts fast with loans and goes quiet then the last few days players are let out on loan or contracts cancelled so they can move on a free.

Plenty of time yet.

Well Cole Stockton has become available and fits the bill perfectly.

I really hope we are in for him!!!
I see this being pushed on a few threads. Haven't seen him but his scoring record doesn't look over impressive.I see he hasn't scored for Hearts this season in 12 games. We already have Biamou!!

Yeah. I’m a bit confused and at first when I looked at his club history I thought I was looking at the wrong player

5 goals in 48 at League 1 level
10 goals in 48 at League 2 level
0 in 12 at SPL level

So not exactly sure how he ‘fits the bill perfectly’ for a goal scoring #9

Nah, we've got two good additions and players coming back from injury with nobody leaving a squad that's done reasonably well so far. Robins is obviously after the right sort of player and I'd rather he bide his time than go for anybody like Mowbray did. I also have a sneaking suspicion he has a target or two that is slightly out of reach at the moment but could become affordable if we get through to the next round of the cup so I think we might hear more after Saturday.

Last season started on loan at Morecambe and scored 5 in 19 in L2 went back to Tranmere and hit 8 in 19 in the national league with a final tally of 18 goals in 45 games

Has a L2 strike rate of 10 goals in 48 games with Morecambe and Tranmere

11 goals in 35 national league appearances with Tranmere and Southport.

Yes his time at Hearts wasn't great but neither was Jayden Stockley's at Aberdeen who is now causing problems and scoring goals for Exeter in L2

Left Tranmere on a free so Hearts won't lose a penny if he leaves which looks very likely

Better than 1 in 5 ratio in L2
Near enough 1 in 3 in the national league
And that's over his last 2/3 season prior to this one.

Strong, can play, 6ft+ scores a variety of goals.... I can think of many reasons why he fits the bill.

we need somebody who is better that what we have
1 in 5 in league 2 isnt great

I would expect Biamou to hit that form now he is off the mark

321 minutes per goal in league 2. To put that into context if Biamou had 3 more goals then he'd have a better record. I'd stay clear.

But look at his more recent form on goals alone...
16/17 season stats
Morecambe played 26 games (2189mins)
in all competitions scoring 10 goals at a rate of a goal every 218 mins

When recalled to Tranmere in January he played in another 19 games playing 951 minutes scoring 8 goals at a rate of a goal every 118 mins

That's 18 goals over a season in all competitions playing 3140 minutes (45 games) and scoring at a rate of a goal every 174 minutes.

Still not worth a punt in a January window when he's only 23 still?

MR should also have a list of players in mind if in case Maddison is sold.

I wouldnt expect him to be buying players for 500/600k , but realistically I can see him getting his mittens on 100/200k and a slight increase in wage budget for the rest of this season.

If Maddison is sold Sisu will hope it’s too late to spend the windfall and it will then disappear in the summer

How many have gone to other clubs? Who exactly have we missed out on?

Sorry but Robins will get no money from any Maddison sale.
This... have had it on good authority that any sale proceeds from any player for the last couple of seasons , and this, won’t be giving MR any bigger purse to play with, as they are merely plugging the gap on our losses due to shire gates & the transfer / wages budget is what it is regardless

If that's the case then the only thing we can do is pack the Ricoh to increase our incomings and give him a bigger budget.

Exactly.... which is why they are doing what they are doing for the AS match.
Come on city fans , get yourselves up there for the matches left this season and let’s show the team that we are there for them and really make a push for promotion ( look what happened in the cup final when we did that !)
I should also say that I’m a corporate season ticket holder, and I hear people around me
Moaning about these reductions, saying that It means they are losing out! I could t give a fuck! I’m lucky enough to be able to afford to buy a season ticket in that lounge, but many of my friends are strugling to pay their rent / mortgage ? Let alone pay for a match ticket here and there up the city ( as Much as they love the club ) so let them do a promotion and give those guys a chance to bring their families up , this is about the club and trying to make sure we get promoted , for the first time in god knows how long, Not proving what a die hard fan you are and that you got the best deal on your tickets!!!

Hopefully MR will give a update this morning in his press conference to any potential new players coming in or if we're in discussions with anyone.

I'm hoping we out do Carlise in there offer for Cole Stockton and tempt him here.
