This manager and team deserve backing (9 Viewers)

and I’ll tell you why. The synergy between fans and players on Saturday was abundantly obvious. I understand people’s reasons for NOPM but backing this team and manager seem way more important to me. They deserve backing and I think we’ll all reap the rewards of that if we do. Be lovely to see 10k plus on Tuesday night.

Has been obvious that the players care since Robins came in, they look to be buying into what he says and even repeating it in interviews.

Even with things on social media and interviews, the increased community work the players seem to care a lot more and interact with fans.

Can't imagine the likes of Reid doing things like that.

Think we'll be well short of 10k on Tuesday unfortunately, although think Accrington will be a lot bigger than many seem to think, should be over 20k, pretty much every casual supporter I've spoken to is planning to go (although a home draw the week after could reduce that somewhat). Hopefully it won't be sub 7k tomorrow, that would be depressing.

Hope you’re right about Accrington, sadly think you’re right about tomorrow night. Which is why I had to say something.

If only the owners spoke don' take dividends don't take legal action.

If only you ever made any sense.

It isn't saying back the owners, there's no mention of them. It's despite them.

Spot on Tony. The current crop of players feel better connected to the fans than any group for ages, they've got a great spirit about them and work very hard for each other (aided by having at least 3 leaders on the pitch), the fans should repay that effort as much as they can. Fuck SISU, don't give them an excuse to sell players, turn up and support the team and get them up the leagues.

Yeah I think it probably does help with players like Doyle as well. Some games you can see him telling players to go over to the fans to applaud them before going in and generally drumming that into them.

Even players like Biamou, I don't want to turn it into another Biamou discussion but you can tell he genuinely cares (as do plenty of others) and that the positivity does drive him on. Reminds me a bit of Mo Konjic when everybody sang his name you could see him getting chuffed about it and would usually go on a bit of a run.

The team spirit seems to be much better too, obviously we can't see behind the scenes but on social media they all have a laugh and a joke and things like the Escape Live team building days.

I don't doubt that a positive thread will upset a few, but there's no doubting that this squad thrives off the positivity. Saw it against Stoke as well when every clearance, block and header was cheered like a goal and they were dead on their feet.

most peoples reasons are CBA, not NOPM
That don’t stack up though when we sell out the away end, sell out the allocation of corporate and the home crowd was bloated by away fans at the weekend. We have the fan base and fans that can be arsed when motivated. Problem is some fans are motivated by NOPM than they are attending home games. I’d urge them to rethink that.

Yeah but that's more a fun day out and an exception, nowt to do with NOPM.

It's always been thus!

Keep winning and playing well then they will be back.
Look at all the empty seats at some of the other FA cup and league games at teams that are strugling.
Wolves are getting good gates this season better then last why, same as Sheffield utd and other teams on a roll.
Any way I will be there tomorrow:)

Agree with everything apart from when you say 'I understand people's reasons for NOPM!'
I don't, fuck your NOPM, fuck the owners and boycotts and protests.
It's clearly evident, after seeing Stoke and MK, what an effect having a big support has with the players, so every body just put everything to one side and get up the Ricoh for the rest of the season, back the lads and hopefully enjoy a promotion!

not having it.

Ask anyone there on Saturday who wont be there tomorrow night and for every 1 NOPM'er, there will be 10 who have other reasons

I would have thought that crowds may have lifted by now. Be interesting to see if we are still in the playoff places in March if there will be an increase.

Personally I’d love to go tomorrow night but Saturday with tickets, train tickets and beer and food I just can’t justify another game yet financially. Probably be the Accrington game next as should be a few more than usual, plus looking forward to seeing behind the goal having a few fans.

It's great to see the players playing for the shirt and throwing their bodies on the line to keep the ball out of the net it's been a long time since we saw a team of ours put the team before their own personal needs. Doyle was an inspired signing not the most gifted but what he gets another 10% out of the other players and he's a fuckr to play against moaning to the ref etc. Can't help but feel if we had him last season we might have survived in league one with his fight alone

The last few weeks with the things Robins has been saying I'm getting the impression he's getting a great affection for the club and supporters.
He can see the potential and I reckon it really excites him.

The crowds will come the longer we are up there. Let’s not forget we’ve been below the average city fans (massively overblown) expectations for most of the season, flirting with top 7, then top 3, then down a few places. To the casual fan we’ve not really been on the radar until the recent FA Cup successes. If we can be in touch of the autos going into March I reckon you’ll see a big increase in support for the run in that’ll follow through to next season.
