The club has been in a downward spiral since relegation from the Premier League. We have always struggled regardless of having young players in the team or not

Out of interest, who do you blame for relegation from the Championship? Considering that team was full of experienced players like Murphy, Keogh, Cranie, Bell, Jutkiewiscz, McSheffrey, Platt, Clingan, McDonald, Baker and Wood...do you also hold them responsible for the clubs demise because I’ve never seen you post about them or any of the other senior players we’ve had in recent years it’s always targeted to the younger players.

What I’ve also noticed is that you will criticise the clubs young players but not criticise the players we had on loan last season from other clubs like Lewis Page, Dan Agyei, Jamie Sterry, Andre Wright, Farrend Rawson and Callum Reilly which makes it very clear where your agenda lies

Anyway, enjoy the game
To be fair mate he does hold them players accountable when he talks to me about last seasons debacle.

Correct. So that means they are good players?

No, no ones said that. However they’re not terrible players as you claim otherwise they wouldn’t be playing professional football still

Since leaving CCFC Jordan Clarke has played 95 times for Scunthorpe in League One and they’ve always been challenging near the top. They’re currently 4th in L1, he’s played 20 times this season, so he can’t be as bad as you suggest

Did you not see him play for us? Poor poor player. Mind you, not helped by Thorn who said he could play in the Premier League! :emoji_joy:
Perhaps he meant Blue Square Premier.

You can’t be too disappointed. Good move for him, should give us some options, Bayliss signs a new contract and stays we won’t miss him in the first team until next season. He looked good against mk

I'm happy with this move :)

a shame, as I think he will develop into a decent player (as clearly any purchaser does as well).

If this enables us to keep Willis, Balyiss and sign a striker, then it maybe a need as opposed to a want

Still just a little bemused he didn't go last Jan .
I doubt it will be 50% of what we may have got then

Very short sighted indeed. One step forward two steps back
Unfortunately we can't afford to look to the future. We need promotion now and we can't hope that a player will come good long term. If this means an experienced striker comes in I'm all for it. He's gone backwards and needs to move on.

It leaves us a bit light in the middle, especially with Kelly being not that fit.
Not sure I agree here, young lads have bulked the area up well, Even Dion I think could adapt to a combative role.
Hate to bring it up but Baker is also there should we find ourselves in need .
Maycock too.

Maycock isn't good enough from what I've seen.

I think Bayliss fits well, not sure on Maycock and Dion in there though :( Not unless we seal promotion by March.

Wouldn't be too upset if they threw Sherwin Seedorf - Clarence's boy - in on loan as part of a deal. Pacey winger with 3 goals and 3 assists in 10 U23s PL games.

Just wondering but what games have you seen him? He’s barely played this season. 86 mins of action in the FA Cup and league unless you were one of the 1,000 crowd in the Checkatrade games?
I can't exactly recall which game it was but he gave the ball away constantly. You can't play the age card as Stevenson and Bayliss are miles ahead of him and are of a similar age.

If true, another move which sees a promising youngster playing non-competitive football for a few years at the time he needs the most time on the pitch.

:D what? Who is using the ‘age card’? I just asked in what games you’ve seen him play to think he’s not good enough as he’s had little action that’s all. As you said yourself, it’s one game where you can’t recall the opponent

Not in the squad tonight. Looks like he’s on his way before the window closes. I’m sure Geoff will ask the all important questions with MR post match!

I'm not too fussed. He's not exactly been the cornerstone of our success this season.
