Thought on low attendances (2 Viewers)

My ten pence worth, and I know you've all heard it, but anyway...

Match day ticket prices are too much. The rise in attendances happened in the Mowbray season because if you felt like it on the day or a few days before you could grab a ticket for a decent price.

This season we are in a better position with what I would argue is a better chance of promotion. Want a ticket? £22 - £25 and it is a league below that good season we had 16/17. People are not prepared to pay the money for a one off game.

If it was more affordable you would have more people there, as we will probably see at the Accrington game.

I take your point on pricing and concede it's an issue alongside the politics of the owners.
I hope a winning team, astute marketing and pricing shows that there is still support out there for our club.

I guess your missus forces you to drink Zlaty Bazant or Saris though! Most Slovak breweries are also Heineken or SabMiller owned too this days

I agree if I wasn't a season ticket holder i don't think I have paid that price on top of Petrol/Programme for a Wet miserable cold Tuesday night game. I just about got there in time for kick off!

Pricing is ridiculous for league two fayre. Flat 20 is more than enough if anyone paid on the day. £18 quid should be a maximum for midweek games.

She likes a Cinzano and lemonade and that kind of herby bollocks so I thought she might like this too - even though it's supposed to be drank neat I thought it might be alright for her with some lemonade or tonic.
Went back home again at Easter to find the bottle empty and a disappointed Gran that I hadn't brought more back. Said to her 'you really liked that becherovka didn't you gran?!' and she said 'oooh yes, it was lovely with a Gin'. Daft cow had been using it as a mixer.

All way too much if you are not a season ticket holder, and a lot of people are not able to get a season ticket for a variety of reasons.

For what it's worth I well remember plenty of shite 'atmospheres' @ HR, aswell as the more memorable ones. Wasn't our average gate in the early 90's around 14k (please correct if I'm wrong) in the promised land of the PL.......

I think you also have to look back some years too, highest ever position was sixth over 40 years ago and that happened once; apart from 87 and the odd dull season in mid table there hasn't been much to sow the seeds for the next generation. Look at teams like Leeds (OK bigger city) but they had their glory years and went into decline but came back strong again in the early 00s - admittedly it pretty much bankrupt the club but many of their fans now in their twenties would have got the bug then. Even Newcastle with their teams under Keegan and Robson the effects would be the same. I'm rambling..... Guess what I'm trying to say is that each generation needs it's heroes...... something to hang on to.

A 250 mile round trip to the Ricoh for me, which isn't an enticing prospect, it's never really felt like home but that's probably as much to do with the decline of the club, the current owners and the fact we have to share it with a bleeding rugger club which ain't even Cov.
