Can wreck a dressing room. Said it a few times on here, Kenny Dalglish said that Blackburn won the league title under him that year because of the dressing room and the spirit within it.

He said that was the biggest factor.

The spirit seems decent with us so far.

With Michael Doyle here no chance, Blackburn won the title because shearer scores a shit load of goals

Goal record isn't great, but let's hope he does the business.

He said that was the biggest factor. Last thing you want in a dressing room is someone with bad attitude.

If his goal record at 23 in the championship and league one was impressive he'd not likely be joining us, has the ability to do it in L2 for sure.

MR wouldn't jeopardise a tight group on him I'm sure.

Shearer was the biggest factor

Just spoke with my contacts at RUFC
Valued at 250k and no bid made as at 5pm
General enquiry two weeks ago
However, things can develop fast.

Surely we won't be paying 250k if his contract runs out in the summer? With his record I'd be unhappy if we paid anything over 100k

Would much, much prefer Stephenson to be sold over Bayliss, judging by contributions this season. As for JCH, we can only assume that management thinks they can get the best out of him without disrupting the squad. The chance to help his home team go up might just focus him.

Agree with that about Stevenson over Bayliss, both would be suicidal.

We couldn't replace them with anyone worthwhile at this stage, but as we are evidently forking out a fee for JCH then at least one of them is off.

I reckon Alan Shearer had a bit of influence.

He's from Leicester.

Seem to remember JCH celebrating infront of the city fans a few years ago

Seen a goal on YouTube of when he scored from a corner at sixfield season, celebrated in front of the thousands by pointing to the name on his back.

Standard thing to do when you get released by a club....

People being a bit presumptuous about JCH and the potential to wreck team spirit. We have strong characters and leaders in the dressing room, and football is littered with examples of footballers with the rotten apple tag who have moved on and been successful. This isn't a crochet society, it's a 4th division football club and having players with a bit of an edge can be turned into a positive.

As for his ability, no idea, so I defer to those who know a little more about him.

He did. He did the point to his name on his back thing at Sixfields when he played for Oldham.
