He never said it in actual words, but SWM is excessively positive on our position and it seems as that all is well.
He sees it as going well and so that when we actually finish where we are it appears accepting mediocrity.
As for Sisu. People should not be quiet on them because the team is doing average or they think they might pull the plug.
Going down the leagues is not acceptable and fans should not forget what's actually happening here.

I don't want Robins sacked. Evidently he has an 8th place budget so that's what he should be judged against.
He's doing okay in that respect and if they sack him it's their fault for not investing in the club when it matters.

How often can the hands tied excuses be used?
I've said often I don't want him to be sacked but I want him to be more reactive and not be as stubborn. Would we be beating most of the teams at the top end and losing to teams at the bottom if it was simply because we had a shit team, or could it be something more?

We seem to be unable to break defending teams down and play well against better teams as it's more open.
We have a midfield that needs space and time on the ball and all missed out by our defenders who also need more time and tend to hoof over them.
We are mugged all the time with our lightweight players.
He doesn't seem to have the players to change it.
His hands are tied.

Again, it's not just down to cash, is it.
His hands are tied because we have a bunch of mentalists in charge who wouldn't know what a football club was if it bit them on the arse, and are incapable of building any kind of foundations for a successful club even if they had eleventy billion in the bank.
We'd do better with a team of Harvey Weinstein impersonating orangutans in the boardroom, who decided Jacob Rees-Mogg was the kind of person they needed to manage the first team.

41 not 31! Blackpool then immediately went on an unbeaten 9 game run and benefitted from an absolute implosion from Stevenage who finished the season with 2 points from their final 6 games. Blackpool ended with 70 points whereas I can see this years 7th place setting the best play off points total for several years. 70 points would mean Swindon scoring at 1.19 points per game (or someone above them even worse) - putting that into context, our away from this season is 1.2 ppg.

Just to reconfirm, with a squad who has had an unlucky run of injuries this season to KEY players and fewer points than we would've hoped for away from home, we're STILL only two wins from the autos (depending on results). Am I happy that we've only one away once in the league in the last two months? No. Am I accepting it? Well, what can I do about it? Despite all that, we're still in with a good shot of either Autos and certainly play offs. It's not acceptance, it's just a realisation that despite the shit performances away, we're still in the mix.
I'm really not sure what you don't get. Anyway, I'm done here. Back to work....

CCFC isnt it, we have always had the ability to raise our game when it matters against the so called better sides no matter what league we are in and at the opposite of that always had the ability to play like a pub team in games we typically would expect them to win. Saturday was no different, the expectation was there but the performance wasnt. Why this happens, who knows, maybe its just the apathy that has surrounded the club for years. We have a young lad who holds onto the ball for fun. He's been playing out of his skin and he pushed him out wide Saturday, unless Joy told him to do it it's down to Robins and it didn't work.

I Said that they seem to think we will still get promoted and criticise Robins for not achieving it with a so called top 8 budget.
The point I'm making and you don't like is that if you want to get promoted at least give him a top 3 budget to start with.
Anything less and you shouldn't expect promotion.
At some point people will realise that the team we can afford, are playing out their skins but simply are not good enough.

It’s bigger than one game and it’s bigger than the first team. We have owners who contribute zero to the team, they’re zombie owners, by default alone that’s a negative that Robins and everyone connected to the playing team has to overcome. Our owners through their litigation isolate everyone that the club needs to deal with to a large degree so we find ourselves in a situation where local businesses don’t want involvement in the club, fans don’t want to attend, it hampers our relationship with our landlords and it deters another potential landlord in the city from wanting to become our landlord. All have a destabilising effect at some level on the club and do not create an environment that freely promotes success. All things Robins has to overcome.
People look at Accrington in this thread and say we must have a bigger budget than them and they’re higher than us. Their owner has made a positive contribution to the club in financial and time terms, he travels to away games on the team coach, he’s a constant presence and a source of positivity that transpires through the club from him and pays dividends in them over achieving.
People look at Blackpool in this thread saying they can do it why can’t we. We’re actually 9 points better of than they were at the same point last season. They also don’t have the negativity hanging over them of where they are playing next season. They have shit owners sure, but they’re still better off than us in many ways.

People are criticising Robins because we had what seemed to be a strong lineup that happened when Kelly got injured and he put Bayliss in. He pretty much bossed central midfield against stoke where they had Joe Allen, Charlie Adam and Stephen Ireland in midfield. When Kelly was out, McNulty started scoring goals, we looked to create more chances than usual and the midfield linked up well.
Kelly comes back from injury (not even fully fit) and Bayliss gets shoved onto the right to put Kelly back in who is a defensive midfielder alongside another defensive midfielder which left the strikers isolated.
Our squad is more than good enough.

That's hardly that his hands are tied though is it? It was only last week you were saying about the feel-good factor around the club and support Robins (which I still agree with while he is manager support him).
I don't doubt having an owner who is deeply involved helps if they are positive and passionate, the last thing I would want though is Joy anywhere near the football team side of things.

The feel good factor is in spite of the owners not because of them. You get past the supporters, the squad, Robins himself, the coaching staff and given the benefit of doubt Boddy as well there’s nothing.
Tim Fisher is a negative presence as are the owners. They have nothing to bring to the club other than negativity. Clubs that overachieve like Accrington don’t have this. It’s about the sum of all parts and one vital component in that is missing, so Robins has to overcome it, it ties his hands as he has to compensate for it in other ways. They tie his hands by not supporting him like owners who care about the club and through their of field actions that create uncertainty they tie them again.
The football business is still a business and a business with neglectful owners will always struggle regardless of how capable the employees are. Negativity always always filters down.
