Exactly, and imagine the reaction when fans who travelled to Carlisle away can't get tickets because those who go to home games get more points.
I believe England do a similar system. You get 2 points for a home game and 1 for an away. Which on paper seems crazy that you get less points for travelling to Lithuania and Belarus than you would sitting at Wembley. However, if it was more points for an away game it may put people off going to the home ones.

Then the ones at Carlisle away should go to home games just down the road as well, surely?

That's assuming Coventry, but it's the home games that give most of the money to the club.
I'd have no qualms with somebody who spends more at the club (lets say Richard Overson who has sponsored academy) than me having priority when both have ST's. Or somebody who has a posh season ticket.

Of course, but the people I have seen moaning this morning are the ones who haven't missed an away game, but don't have a season ticket.
I do understand their frustration, there is a fair number who have travelled all over to follow the club away and haven't got tickets today.

Surely everybody has known for years it's the benefit of a season ticket / membership? The same as every other club. The same as Wembley, the same as Crewe in the JPT.

I am sure they do, but I understand the frustration when there were people at MK and will be people at Brighton who haven't been to an away game in the league getting away tickets for Brighton

If they go to every away game why not get a season ticket for a fraction of what they spend going around the country? Dont get me wrong fair play to them for doing it, but what do they expect when it comes to things like this an high demand games? It's been the same for as long as I can remember.

Some people watch Cov at home but never or rarely travel.....if they buy a season ticket then yes they make a solid financial contribution to the club.
However, in my opinion that doesn’t make them any more loyal than someone that travels up and down the country and spends far more money on watching the boys away....in fact in some ways that makes them more loyal surely?

Well if they don't have a ST then how haven't they missed a game? If they've managed to get tickets for all the other away games this season then they should of managed for Brighton surely?

It's not about that though, it's rewarding the people who give the solid contribution. It's the same at pretty much every other club.
You could get private jets to every game and spend thousands on beer or you could hitch hike for free, get a season ticket as well and get priority.

Agree, same on the social media stuff I gave up my ST this season and I fully know/don’t expect any priority, I know despite all my previous loyalty I now fall into the same category for getting tickets as one of those fans that goes once in a blue moon.

TBH I’m not sure but I know clubs do or have adopted pts systems.
Just because the current system is something we have always done it doesn’t mean to say we should always do it....

Also have to consider cost of the system as well.
As per the Brighton one, they will always get priority for big games with a ST. Even more so if they have had it longer.

Brighton added this to their ticket website for our game...
‘Due to Coventry City selling out their allocation, this game will not go to general sale. Anyone purchasing tickets will need a purchase history with us’.

Nick you really would argue Black was White. Every fucking club of note in the football league that takes decent away followings, (Leeds, Wednesday etc before you try and argue Yeovil doesn’t) has a points scoring system, to make sure away tickets go to those who travel regularly. They get top priority for Away Games. Top priority is ST that have X amount of away points, next priority is members that have X amount of away points. A ST with 0 away points, would be right down the priority list, which is what it should be. Season ticket holders get priority on home matches.
Stop being a gimp and arguing the toss over everything.

I booked a child seat with my seat so I have somewhere to put my coat and rucksack. I hate it when you have to chuck your stuff on the floor. Well worth £6 extra in my opinion...

There was no loyalty system in 87. It was season ticket holders and then stubs from previous games. I didn't have a season ticket so spent many hours queuing for tickets for Stoke, Wednesday and the semi. I think the system is fair as it is, some you win some you lose.

CCFC away season ticket there is a blast from the past! When I was mid teens used to go on the official coach quite a lot and always remember a couple who on a few occasions would demand they’d get on the coach first “as we’re away season ticket holders!” (Coach seat numbers already assigned!) absolute self righteous pair!
