CCFC v Accrington looks set to smash current League Two attendance records tomorrow with 27,500+ possibly in attendance.

Telegraph reports it's not gonna break the record tho for a division 4 game with the record set at 37,774 in 1961 by Crystal Palace v Millwall.

CCFC's highest gate in division 4 was in 1958-59 with a attendance of 28,429

The previous L2 record in modern times and current stadium regulations was set by Portsmouth v Northampton with 18,746 in attendance that day.

27,500+ is a amazing figure given 17,274 attended Notts County v Crewe with there £2 offer last weekend.

This will boost (distort?) the average attendance figure by over a thousand per game.

lol, I wouldn't say distort! everyones been saving up their fivers , waiting for a deal. Should boost our average attendance to 9k! which could possibly be the highest in Division.

Like I mentioned earlier, the next two home attendances will be 12k plus! If Luton is one of the next two games. so they are likely to go up. and then again for the run in home games!

We could actually end up with higher average home attendance than last years! who would have predicted that!

Notts county had a total attendance of 100,897 prior to last weekends £2 offer and sat 4th behind CCFC with a average of 7,206. After the game v Crewe the attendance of 17,274 has shot there average up to 7,878 to put them 3rd.

Were currently sat 4th with a total attendance of 113,140 and a average of 7,543. With a attendance of 27,500 tomorrow that puts us on a average of 8,790 over 16 league games and would put us top of the pile ahead of Lincoln who are currently top with a average of 8,631 and Luton second with 8,539.

Ironically tomorrow's attendance at the Ricoh will be more than what Morecambe and Accrington have seen in spectators all season so far.

Puts things into perspective with how well Accrington are doing as a club in the hole between Burnley and Blackburn laying in the shadows

Doubt we’ll get over 20k there, each primary school student was given 6 free tickets which acumaulates the 14k free tickets and I highly doubt half of them never mind all will turn up

They weren't all given them were they? They had to actually order them.

I think your right. but still even if half of the 14 k turn , its fantastic! that's 7 k more potential current/future customers than before, and 7k less empty seats !

I predicted it a lot that if we went up we’d get higher crowds than the relegation season. All the historic evidence backs it up.

Last seasons average attendance in the league was 9,119 with a total of 209,726 spectators over the 23 games.

So far before tomorrow we've a average of 7,543 and a total of 113,140 spectators over 15 games.

With 8 games left including tomorrow's bumper crowd and Lincoln and Grimsby still to come on a Saturday, a midweek visit of Luton sure to bring good crowds it could be close to last years figures and possible deciding game against Morecambe the last day of the season to round it off.

Tomorrow could put us at 140,000 spectators with 7 games left needing a average of 10,000 to pass last years figures.

With half of the tickets being freebies ,

How many people will turn up on a wet cold day ? 15k ?

Your guess is as good as mine, weather sure looks bleak but I at least hope we break the 20k figure to take the modern record comfortably in L2

But on the other hand half or most of those Blackburn and Burnley fans 2nd team is Accy.

Which is my point I made earlier I reckon we could easily average more than we did last year.

If you go on that theory then is there only 500 odd true Accy fans given they average gates of 1617 with away fans included. 400 or so attending tomorrow.

I'm not so sure we will, could be close but I think we will fall short of last years figures. Should 27,500 fans attend then we'd need 10,000 every game on average and with low key games v Barnet, Yeovil, Stevenage on a Friday night gonna fall under that figure. While games v Lincoln, Grimsby and Luton need to fall 12,000 or higher which could be possible.

It's very close but I'd say just under if I was to estimate now.

You would assume the last game of the season vs Morecambe would be a big attendance if we need a win for Auto/playoff place, and Morecambe need a result to stay up.

You'd like to hope we're celebrating a auto spot or fans are securing there play off ticket... either way it should be a big gate unless it's a dead rubber for us

Anyway how’s this for a stat.

Tomorrow we will have a bigger gate than these home teams all combined in League 2 bar the Swindon game.

Barnet 2k
Carlisle 4.5k
Crawley 2k
Cheltenham 3k
Crewe 3.5k
Exeter 4K
Morecambe 1.5k
Newport 3.5k
Stevenage 2.5k

= 26.5 k, going by the average attendances this season.

Swindon probably 7k (if this match was at Mansfield) we would probably have more than every other home game combined.
