I was flippant and somewhat dismissive when he was appointed, and even more so when he kept a low key profile in his first few months at the club.

Now in the space of a few weeks we've had

1) a successful transfer window, shipping out two misfits - one to a bigger club - and bringing in a decent looking striker

2) agreeing some security of a home for next season despite the antics of our owners understandably undermining the stadium owners' desire/willingness to do a deal

3) getting well over 20k to turn up to a game against Accrington in February.

4) ensuring Tim Fisher is neither heard nor, apparently, seen

Well done sir - if you keep on like this, you'll prove to be more effective than most of the sorry excuses for executives that we've had over the years. More please!

TBF he was judged on appointment harshly for performance elswhere ,unwise !Seems to have been very effective up to now
Apart from the ticket prices. He has said recently that whatever league we are in next season that he/they are continuing with the current model. So expect to be paying £26 on the gate again.

When did he join us Adge ?
Not trying to get dedflect as I'd agree it's too dear .
Just wonder If that policy was already set given some ST's were set on supposed fan consultation .
Edit;- Of course he would have had input as he was here before Checkatrade final.
I still maintain he's been good for the role .

can't agree with point 1).

JMD and Barrett have been poor signings and the jury is out on JHC.

agree. not sure how you can call Stevenson a misfit? could have done with him yesterday. Signings in January have been average at best so far. nazons scored 2 yesterday. If robins wasn’t so stubborn he could still be here now

agree that some parts have improved but jury still out. all not forgiven from me yet

He has come in to CONTINUE the ceo roll. He’s not pulled up any trees but has wisely kept his head down and restricted comments to the media. Gates haven’t risen and we have as in previous years sold a player mid term for hundreds of thousands to be replaced by two rookie loans and a freebie striker. So what’s different, now all that doesn’t make him useless or better but I have yet to see any innovative changes. So let’s not make him a superstar just yet. As for getting 20000+ to turn up yesterday, come on, thousands of free tickets were dished out to schools it was like an international kindergarten by me. I suppose it worked getting kids up there for the first time though it’ll be interesting how it’s followed up.

I knew he was on a diet but that is some serious weight loss!

He was on the website a couple of weeks ago and in the programme wasn't he?

Boddy is here now and has no doubt had an input regarding tickets etc for next season, as he has said that the current model “we are happy with” which will continue.
Yes he seems to be doing ok but this is one issue that needs addressing regarding prices. Can you imagine if we don’t get into the playoffs the drop off in attendance next season? I think we were all surprised by how many season tickets (4000 odd?) we had sold this season and the gates averaging (until yesterday’s farcical attendance) 7000 etc, but his “happy with the current model” will see it down to nearer 5000 average next year if we don’t go up and prices remain the same. As we know only increase on that basis is if we are at the top of the League.

I worry that he might go the same way as Waggott who of course did so well in getting us back to the Ricoh in the first place, or Chris Anderson who clearly felt that we should focus on a long term future at the Ricoh and not pretend to build a new stadium; Anderson lost that battle with Joy who apparently is/was set on the new stadium idea. Dave Boddy on Friday on the radio pretty much said, although not in so many words, that he favours the Ricoh as the long term option too. Hope he doesn't get forced out for that.

I dread the season ticket sales if we are still in this pub league next season.
I'm up for it, but I think lots wont be. They really need to think hard about pricing next season if we are to host the likes of Crawley, FGR again plus Macclesfield and Aldershot, though fine clubs they all are

Whilst I think Boddy is doing a decent enough job, I am not sure how he gets credit or indeed criticism for the transfer dealings. He isn't involved in team matters as I understand it and is not a statutory director so wont sign off the finance on it.

I doubt he has ensured anything to do with Fisher. TF will pipe up when he sees fit, he has other business ventures and Boddy is someone he can hide behind which is part of the purpose of the Boddy appointment in the first place.

Boddy might have done the leg work for the one year rent extension but is still the director (TF) who signs off on it with the approval of the owner.

It is still the same people making the key decisions, that hasn't changed

Boddy has sharpened up the commercial side of things, has put forward some fan related inducements, has reached out to build bridges with the fans and for that I give him credit. He is doing a decent job on that front

Points 1, 2, and 4 = thank you Tim Fisher and Joy Seppala...
