I don’t think he knows how to play any differently! I think him having to pick Bayliss was forced upon him out of nessesaty and he got lucky. You can tell each game I go to that he is not changing anything
Would hate to think where we would be without Bayliss. He has been like a breath of fresh air.

Fergie beard old lad when do you do something about it then ? Apart from being out manoeuvred most weeks we are awful to watch most weeks too, Robins won’t change his way of playing which probably explains why he hasn’t lasted much more than 2 years at any club he’s been at.

I agree-but I don’t think Robins tells players to play like that.

There’s a disconnect somewhere.

My point is..

Should we give up on the season already and celebrate shit like we do every single time City lose.

I am not giving up hope yet.

I’ll save my rhetoric for when it’s mathematically impossible for us to achieve promotion (whether automatic or play offs).

Just don’t fancy wallowing in self-pity and misery. Yes it’s fuckin terrible being a city fan but it could be a lot worse.

Let’s hope this cup run ends on Satdee and our league form picks up.

Your attitude says are prepared to accept mediocrity, winners do not do that.

I'm not too sure people are watching or have watched the last 3 games which have shown no improvement at all.

First thing we did from kick off is hammer it straight out again.

Yes while we might just be 3 points, we aren't showing any signs of improvement and robins doesn't seem to have any urgency.

It's not as if opposition keepers are having games of their lives and we are unlucky, we create nowhere near enough.

I completely agree with all of that Nick.

Not an excuse but we simply can not ignore the fact that our squad been decimated by injury and especially the last 3 games we’ve been badly affected.

I just hope Robins has gained knowledge from these 3 defeats and starts picking players accordingly.

Fans can see what is wrong-I just hope Robins has.

It will be 3 then 10 then impossible then everyone claiming it was a settling season. Next season 14th then 16th then a relegation battle

Just based on experience
There is nothing to suggest otherwise, Macca and we can't blame Sisu this time for selling the family silver in the January window. We held on to everyone we wanted to apart from Ben Stevenson.

And you can't just put it down to injuries either.

Next season I am sure will be tougher. Smaller crowds, smaller budget, 4 teams coming down from League One into the mix for promotion hopes and quite often teams that come up from the Conference also do very well.

I too can see midtable next season and then a gradual decline once again after that.

Hope I am totally wrong, but I wouldn't be quick to go down to the bookies and bet on that notion being incorrect.

We were second not all that long ago and our form has took a severe nosedive since then also I don't think we showed any ambition in the transfer window.

Think we did on the striker front but they didn't come for whatever reason .
Bit like Mowbray shooting to high?

So, yes, just 3 points off the playoffs. The next 2 games are away and are against 2 of the in form, best of the top 7 teams.

Our last 6 away matches:

0-2 Morecambe
0-1 Port Vale
1-0 Carlisle
0-1 Exeter
1-2 Forest Green
1-2 Colchester

It's all well and dandy saying we are just 3 points adrift.

Look at the trend. Why would we believe we are suddenly going to turn that away form completely on its its head?

Based on what? Plain old wishful thinking?

Our away form will only change if we change the way we play. Why would we think Robins will now suddenly do that? Based upon what? He has shown great reluctance to change.

I would have so much more faith if we had at least competed a little bit in these matches. Putting in just one half of decent play is just not going to cut it.

Our away form at the moment is an abomination.

Of those away games:

The games at Port Vale/Exeter/Colchester could have been any result - Easily could have gone other way or at the very least we deserved a draw.
Morecambe and FGR - we were shocking.

In fact theres trend there in all of those away games we were shocking and not very good First half! In the 2nd halfs vast improvements notably Carlisle/Exeter/Colchester.

Also I know it was the cup but it was still an away game against better opposition just 3 weeks ago. Still a win regardless. Its not like they don't know how to win away!

Hide your nooses.

Put away the cyanid.

Switch off the gas oven.

We are still only 3 points from the playoffs with plenty of games to play against those above us.

So step back from your ‘sack the manager‘ posts and erase your ‘this team is shit’ sentences.

It ain’t over till it’s ducking over!

Then we start the dissection!

Being doubled by FGR has cost us a play off spot at present. Nobody else above us will lose to them, guaranteed.

Well hold your horses mate.
They are winning every other week now and very very convincingly at home. I said after they beat us. They wont finish bottom 6/8 and trust me they wont.

In fact I think they on a winning run of 3/4 home consecutively on the bounce. I think 10 goals in last 3 home games. Two of the top 10 strikers in the League. Reid/Doidge

They are one of the teams with probably a top 6 Budget Easily, bought in 11 new players this transfer Window.

They will easily finish mid table, and don't be surprised if more of the top teams get turned over there.

They've still lost 6 on the trot away. Yes their home form has picked up but they've played some of the worst form teams in the league - Port Vale, Cambridge then us. They were losing at home yesterday until Stevenage got a straight red which turned the game and are still yet to beat anyone in the top half of the table exept for us. I don't think they'll go down but easily mid table is a bold prediction!

Correction they won 4 in a row at home! Not bad.

Talking of Red cards they maybe should have beaten Wycombe last month at Home also would have 5 in a row. If they themselves hadn't had player sent off in first half. They gave them one hell of a fright second half even with 10 men.

Also they were unlucky against Exeter Away. They completely outplayed them few weeks. It was one of those games where Exeter had 2 shots on target and scored 2 goals one of which a penalty. and FGR had about 16 shots! and dominated.

Just making a point, and will prove it in coming weeks. We shall see. I will come back to you later in season.

As for that other person whos completely clueless and thinks FGR wont beat any of the teams above us in top 8 we shall see. lol

I will come back to this post very soon.

also let me correct you.

When FGR beat Port Vale in Very Early January, Port Vale had actually won the 4 of previous 5 games, were actually in decent form.
When FGR beat us we had also won 4 of our previous 5 matches so technically in good form.

So really not sure about they played teams at bottom of form table at the time of playing them. Both team were actually towards top end of form table when they beat us and them.

It doeabr matter whether is could have been another result, it wasn't we lost. And one of the reasons we lost is because we don't create enough clear cut chances and we don't score enough goals throughout the team.

We have failed to score in 12 of our 32 league games (37.8%), which was alright when we were keeping cleansheets but as I said back in September, they would dry up then our lack of goals will kill us.

Its not over yet, but now autos look out of reach and play offs are a lottery.

In both cases you're taking into account home form. We'd lost 3 out of 4 away games and the one we'd won and the only goal we'd scored in those 4 games was thanks to a defensive howler at Carlisle.
Port Vale have only won 4 away games all season and their FGR game was their 2nd away loss in what is a 7 game winless streak.

Win just 3 of next 5 and we will will be in play off positions again and this blip will be forgotten and we will be looking and complaining about why we aren’t in Automatic positions. Then new threads will start let’s sack Robins.

What you going on about now?

Form is form. It’s irrelevant wether it’s been at home or away. Current form over the last 3/5/8 games is current form irrelevant if majority of this happen to be home or away.

I corrected you that when FGR played Port Vale, That they weren’t at bottom of form table like you made out. They had collected 12 out of possible 15 points. Including a 4 nil thumping of Luton 2 weeks prior.

When FGR played us I’m correcting you that we had won in the league only 4 out of our last 5 games. Not ncluding cup wins. Our current form was good.

It’s a bit like our argument last week when I proved your stats are incorrect (with certain examples like when Mansfield were beaten by Crawley when they were bottom 4) . Then you say it’s not the actual results at the time you play the team. Lol

when bottom 8 vs top 8 results when I made the point anyone in top 8 can be beaten by anyone in bottom 8. I said happens quite often. 14% of the time the bottom 8 will beat top 8.

And a few days later this week to prove my point The team by far the worst in our league and odds on for relegation rock bottom Barnet beat Notts County.

I'm afraid i can't explain it any more simply for you.
Form is form irrelevant of whether it's home or away? Would you rather be at home or away against Mansfield in our next match?
Port Vale had actually only won 3 of their last 5 games prior to FGR and their away form was deteriorating: Beat Carlisle, Drew with Colchester, Lost to Notts County. They are now unbeaten at home in 6 and have lost 4 consecutive away games. That split of that form is not irrelevant.

You didn't prove me wrong last week either I just stopped bothering to argue with you. I gave you the results of the best 8 teams in this league over 30 games vs the worst 8 teams in this league, over 30 games. There's nothing incorrect about that. The best 8 teams statistically vs the bottom 8 determined over a set period of time, not a specific moment in time. You not understanding that and demanding Mansfield vs Crawley is included in that because Crawley were 17th when they beat Mansfield is irrelevant anyway - the main point we disagree on is whether 14% is quite often or not. You think 14% is quite often, whereas I think the bottom 8 winning 2 games in every 16 against the top 8 is most definitely not, especially when in the context of it keeping the play off race alive, which is the point you were trying to make.

Yes Notts County lost to Barnet. And none of the other games against lower opposition were lost on Saturday or Tuesday, exactly as my stats suggested. Do I feel like the bottom teams have done us a favour or are significantly affecting the play off race over those two rounds of matches? No. Do I think they will over the the next 15 rounds of matches? Not unless they buck the trend of two thirds of the season.

Am I reading this right? It could be a lot worse? We’re in league 2. Our lowest position in modern times. Your a Mad Man. I’m on the way back from Essex and it’s depressing to think where we currently. We should be going for autos now we’re struggling to make the playoffs! It can’t get much worse!!!
Lowest league position EVER. We have never been relegated to this division before in our history and got promoted in the only season we have been in it.i.e. the first year it was formed.

Your another one on here who would argue for the sake of it when you get the wrong end of the stick.

Agree to disagree, its a matter of opinion.

To close this argument or debate from my end, i believe anyone can beat anyone in this league.

You make it sound like there were lots of matches at the weekend and midweek of top 8 vs bottom 8.

In fact there was only 3!! over 2 rounds. which one the bottom team beat Notts. So i make it 1 in 3 over Saturday and Tuesday.

Also i dont believe FGR are as bad as some people suggest. Yes they been in bottom 2 most of season.

I stand by my prediction made weeks ago they will finish not snywhere near rekegation. Yes i make bold statements. Based on what i see. They will finish around 8th from bottom.

And for the record they are not a gimme at home like some have suggested. They will turn over alot of teams at teams.

We are now competing for 7th place with Lincoln, Exeter, Crawley and maybe even Colchester.

7 Points behind 6th place, we simply have to win games now. There's no room for draws.

And 3 asbolutely huge games up next. Lincon, Wycombe and Mansfield.

We are 10th at the moment. Could go one of 2 ways. Back in the saddle, or cut adrift.
