FORM BOOK - CCFC v Forest (2 Viewers)

I thought our form was kind of crap of late (but improving) but just look at Forest's last 13 games Home and Away:

0-1
0-4
0-1
0-1
0-0
0-1
0-1
3-1
0-3
1-2
0-2
1-1
1-2 (last game)

That's no goals in 9 out of 13 games !!! - (CCFC no goals in 5 out of 13 games)

Form Guide:

CCFC
P13-W4-D0-L9 F13-A19 Pts-12

Forest
P13-W1-D2-L10 F6-A20 Pts-5

Surely, surely, surely we should win this one - it has to be there for the taking- even CCFC can't mess this one up - CAN WE

As atrocious as Forest's form is, the only form that really matters for CCFC is our away form. And it's bad reading:

P15 W0 D3 L12 GD -18

That's actually fewer points-per-game than Forest have averaged in their awful recent run. So let's be in no doubt about it - Forest are soft at the moment, but it would still be an immense achievement to beat them.

I'd take 0 - 0 now.

I would be delighted with a draw.

You have to say the one team Forest really want to play right now is the team that have lost 8 away on the trot and haven't won away all season. Statistically we have the worst away record in the entire football league.

The spirit and confidence is with us at the moment, but there is the factor of the death of the Forest chairman and that may galvanise them and as I say we have an absolutely awful away record.

For me, my heart says draw, my head says defeat.

Dont think we can afford to lose this match - an average of 4 points in every 2 games sees us comfortable.

However this is definitely one match where I think everyone at the club would be disappointed with anything less than a win. This has to be one they target 3 points from. We might have to play at lot of teams at the bottom but there are some tough games ahead where getting anything will be an achievement.

A win would be brilliant as it would give us 3 points but more importantly would build some confidence and drive Forest down even lower. If we can get onto any sort of winning streak at this stage it could make all the difference and maybe, just maybe keep us up. There is still a long way to go but we have to break that away day hoodoo and we won't have a better opportunity than on Saturday. Good win under our belts, good support from SBA and a demoralised Forest.

They may be demoralised, but this is the first game since the death of their chairman. Get the feeling they are really going to be up for this one.

The first goal, if any, is going to be crucial. Forest get it and I think it will be a long afternoon for us.

Our Away record has to change at sometime, we were so close against Blackpool.

The other problem is Forest has a game in hand, getting 3 pts puts us 3pts ahead, canceling out their game in hand, putting the league table back into our hands and should keep our confidence going.

Anything less than 3 pts against Forest = time running out.

It'll come down to whether either team tries to win over trying to avoid defeat. I can see us going out for the former, but for Forest, it's difficult to say. Their football's being slated all over the place and Forest fans couldn't be more resigned to relegation than possible-they're there for the taking.
With Pompey's points deduction, we have a real chance of getting out of the relegation zone for the first time since October-even if it's just temporarily, the lift that will give to everyone connected to the club will be huge. He who dares wins, and I think that will ring true tommorrow-providing someone does.

As I say, I would be over the moon with a draw. That would be heading in the right direction and then if we can beat Barnsley next week that will be 3 games unbeaten.

First home game-they had Boro away this week.

A win makes a significant difference because taking into account the respective goal differences then Forest matching our results would still keep them below us even if they win their game in hand. If Donny lose saturday aswell that will mean they will need to win both their games in hand to pass us if we match (at least ) their results. Could come down to a straight fight between us and Pompey as to who goes down

Its all if and buts really though isnt it

Key games CCFC - tempted to say must wins
18/02 Forest away
24/03 Pompey Home
21/04 Donny home

And match the results generally of those 3

was tempted to BSB yes but thought those three were the must win ones because it keeps us firmly ahead of them -

They were calling for him to get out the club earlier in the season weren't they?

I can't figure out if I'm really apprehensive about this game or buzzin'! It's 90 minutes that could shape the rest of our season.

Realistically, with our form I just think we cannot afford to lose. Draw would be okay, a win would be massive. Im tense as shit already. Going to be a long afternoon!

Agreed, a draw would be fine. Ultimately the club is going to have to win the bulk of its home games to stay up. After the Forest game the away games look dreadful. Converersly most of the home games are against rival relegation teams or teams with zilch to play for. We cannot afford a loss tomorrow.

Still fear it though.

Bit worried that many fans have built their hopes up so much and are thinking 'win' that if a loss happens there's going to be a massive backlash on here come 5 p.m..
