Barnet showing how to beat Colchester away, can't have been that complicated

Barnet are on the up. They Notts County 2 weeks ago. And should have won last week too against Accrington.

They have a new manager, their results have definately picked up.

Won’t be easy against them on 10th.

In fact playing the bottom 6 teams in this league won’t be easy.

It's a shame we have to be 0-1 behind, down to 10 men and also have the clock ticking down, before we can start to assert ourselves in a game. A noble point, but probably not enough. IMG_8dle79.jpg

I am extremely concerned that we have ginger right back as well as a ginger left back.

We need to halt this madness now.
Well we definitely don’t have a Ginger left back!

we were the best team before the sending off. Absolutely no width, but certainly the better team. I know which team should be most pleased with todays result !

Considering the second half you couldn't tell we had a man off, i'm fairly confident with 11 we'd have won. They were shaky at the end, keeper slipped twice, bowled it out to their midfielder who was running away from the ball, centre half slicing it out of the ground when no one around him. It was amazing to see.

Quite a few today yes. Their fans are banging on about two 'blatent' pens they were denied. So blatent in fact that sky decided not to show them!! Also loads of praise for Haynes from them including

Yes their No 24,the ginga was a right player.just about to look his name up.

They also all criticised rose for his diving antics which happen every week apparently

And yet they could well go up automatically. Which goes to show how shit this league really is.

Just watched the highlights and have to say that the sending off was correct. You can see Willis grabbing the player by the waist and deliberately stepping across him, tripping him in the process.

There's not a complaint to be had by any of his fellow players, nor indeed Willis himself. Would be foolish to challenge that, as it would just result in a longer ban.

The JCH one is a bit odd. The Mansfield defender definitely dives into him, but JCH cleverly plays on that fact and stumbles forwards, seemingly before the contact and clearly looking for the penalty.

You can see JCH dragging his left foot behind him in order to tumble and go down easily.

My criticism of JCH yesterday was at the way he constantly falls down, I know he wins us free kicks but I dont like to see it from any player let alone one of ours

Totally agree, unless it is a playoff final and it would get us promoted.

In that scenario he is then allowed a hat trick of them.

Not really, because if Mansfield make it, they will seriously have to reduce the capacity in order to accommodate Steve Evans.
Pie sales will go tru the roof if Evans is there

I was unable to follow the game in any way yesterday, as was running for Godiva down in London.

But to be down to 10 men so early, a goal down against a promotion challenging team, and to rescue a draw, I can only see it positively.

However before this game I thought we need 5 or 6 points minimum from the next three games to stay in contention. So I think we need minimum 4 points from the next two games. If we lose either of the next two, I think we are facing an uphill battle to make the playoffs.

I wouldn't say JCH dives, more that he goes down with minimal contact, it's good to see though, relieves the pressure and drags the whole team 30 yards up the pitch.

That's the telling part of it all, not a appeal of any form from the players in close proximity, A huge error on his part.
You clan raise the point like Doyle and Robins did after that he's the type to go down too easy but you as a player are aware and briefed all week of that so don't put yourself in situations to give the ref a easy decision.

I think we all knew it was a foul, clever from Rose though. I think we were hoping for a Yellow.

Red ok fair enough. So early in the game. But then they score that goal from resulting free kick in the manner they did. Felt like a kick in the teeth.

Exactly my 12 year old said straight away that's a red dad...
now if he'd of made a attempt for the ball in the box and gave away the pen it's a yellow card under the new rules, but outside in the manner he did it's a clear red.

It's disappointing but Rose is a clever kid, and a good player at this level. Thankfully as a side over 90 mins we've limited his overall impact for 2 games this season expect for Jordan Willis who lost both battles.

I want Mansfield in the play offs now, we could do with writing a bit of new history and dislike for each club with some rivalry.

Robins v Evans is not quite up to sky's Conte v Mourinho billing but MR won round two yesterday.

That was a lot better performance, started really strongly and until the Willis sending off and their flukey goal I could only see one team winning.

Happy with a point in the end, we need 7 from 9 in the next three and still do, just doing it the hard way.

JCH is going to be good for us.

McNulty seems to be suffering the curse of the Player Of The Month, or still not properly back after his virus. Had several chances to get shots off yesterday but hung on to the ball too long.

Also, we went sideways so many times I thought Sammy Clingan was back in the team.

I have been refusing to buy tickets for Wycombe because they are the worst, most boring team in the league, and I refuse to contribute towards that way of ruining entertainment, but might now be tempted just to see them thrashed.

Which is my worry for the play offs. That goal was a freak and it could quite easily happen again.

Let's hope if it does it's in at the other end.

Two defensive midfielders, no natural width, and no pace, its grounhog day all over again.
The definition of insanity is doing the same old thing over and over, and expecting different results.
Expect to see the front two starved of service, and our midfield pushed back until they sit on our penalty area.
Then MR to make a change in the 85 minute to try and salvage something from a game that was over before it kicked off.

Its called backing yourself and not changing your principles because of 2/3 bad results.
