Evans’s Behaviour (12 Viewers)

As per Mansfield’s official YouTube channel. Deary me they need to get over it
Ours was a soft pen but JCH didn't push their player over he stumbled in front of JCH and stopped him getting to the ball.

Ref absolutely correct on theirs. A clear dive.

Odd that Evans thought the ref was right when he gave Willis a red but got everything else wrong.

Ours was never a pen and neither was their claim. Neither decision explains why they couldn't see out a 1-0 scoreline against a team with 10 men for 70 minutes.

HAHA! just thought the stewarding and crowd control was appalling and could have provoked a situation.
It also seemed like there were too many people in our end.
I thought some of the kids (15 - 17 yr olds) mooching around were 'wired'.
Is that the pre-match 'bevvie' of choice for that age group? Or is it already a life style choice?

Seems counter productive for them to post a video proving the ref got it right on both occasions.

Not sure why people think ours was soft, clear pen for me, and their player diving should be ashamed of himself. It looks more pathetic from each angle.

I know refs at our level are often rightly criticised but on the big three decisions yesterday he got it right. Willis was last man and although the forward wouldn’t have got the ball the decision was right. Our penalty a little soft but their defender did prevent JCH getting to the ball by falling into him. Their pen shout...clear dive and hopefully Evans will apologise to the ref for blatant attempt at cheating.

If that was the object of their exercise they haven't so much shot themselves in the foot, more blown both their legs off at the hip!
I stand myself corrected - In another thread I said ours was never a penalty. After a couple of views I now know it deffo was. Good spot by the ref - They regularly get waved away even at Prem level.

‘Little squeaky Robins who thinks he should manage England.’ Haha.
I reckon Mansfield need to look at themselves, not at another poor ref.
Evans is protecting a siege mentality. I understand why he
he’s does that....but comes over as obnoxious.
He’s not there to be liked but effective.
Are we too soft...polite?

We’re maybe a bit soft, but I’d hate it if we were anywhere near the level of that idiot.

Imagine that clown show every week, must be a really shitty atmosphere around the club with him in charge. I’m already sick of him and I’ve only really watched him bleat on in a post match interview.

Clive as neutral as he tries to be can't mask it .
Think he brought it up in chat with a local journo pre match yesterday ,the guy reckons a few of the locals who sit in that stand behind him do give him stick .

The guy just has no etiquette class decorum.

Money can’t buy him that. To think even Leeds gave him a job. What a stain on their history.

If ever we appointed Evans as a manager I think I’d stop going altogether. Can’t stand the bloke
But will continue to go when the likes of Fisher et al have over seen 2 relegations, administrations, points deductions, taken us out of Coventry to play “home” games, don’t have a ground anymore and charge us £26 on a match day to watch the half the youth team in the bottom tier?:emoji_thinking:
Think I’d prefer Evans myself.

Care to name these 6 youth team players who have been starting every week for us?

Now it wouldn’t be like you to post untrue stuff would it...

He’s being a numpty. Has every right to be annoyed his team couldn’t beat is with 10 men. However, that’s on his team for not getting a 2nd to kill the game off. Blaming match officials for a result that doesn’t go your way is the lowest of the low for excuses. Given the circumstances, they should’ve won.

For me, a draw was a fantastic result. I honestly thought after scoring so early after the red card, we’d lose 2, maybe 3-0.

I go to support the team and manager, however wouldn’t if it was Evans. Didn’t step foot inside Northampton despite it being easier to get to.

You can pay less than £26 on match day, however if that suits your argument...

I presume you haven’t been since we were relegated from the championship then?

Only little man squealing I can see is Evans. A throwback to all that was bad in old style management particularly at amateur levels. He gets little respect because he earns none with his ridiculous antics. You would think the football authorities would have educated about his wider responsibilities to football by now

to be fair, I think Nick was coming to the end of his tether yesterday as well. Good to see he has taken 24 hours to calm down.

Nick wouldn’t ever lose his tether, he’s a superior fan to everyone else remember? He always backs the team, thinks tickets should be £30+ in League 2 and is a firm defender of SISU. Oh, and calls people ‘thick as fuck’ despite being fat as fuck hahahha pusb

And they were at home. Imagine meltdown if that happened to us at home.

He’s just deflecting from his poor performance as manager. They got their tactics badly wrong after they got their lucky break. With two of the quickest strikers in the league they should have won 3/4 nil. Especially with 80 minutes left including injury time.

If he gets Mansfield promoted do you seriously think that their fans would care.

“Should never be in football” - if he got us promoted I’d have him here.
I would be embarrassed to say he was our Manager. Surely there are some lines that you don’t cross? As I said at the start of this thread, I was 5 rows behind him, and was appalled at what I saw. The incessant attempt to influence the officials, primarily by bullying them, we have enough that’s wrong with our club, without bringing someone in with his ‘approach’ to the game.

Excellent videos, thank you. And I agree, I was right behind the Cov penalty decision (in the Mansfield main stand) and as soon as their player stumbled into our player, I said penalty. He took our man down.

Burge, Willis, Haynes, Shipley, Bayliss, Ponticelli.

1) Haynes and Ponticelli have rarely started this season

2) They’re not youth team players

3) A ‘youth team’ is recognised as a clubs Under 18 side

4) I’m still convinced you’re a parody and are trying to come across as stupid as possible

5) You’ve had a bad weekend haven’t you? You really hoped your favourites Burge and Haynes had bad games but they didn’t, did quite well actually, so you’ve got to let some steam off in other directions
