Wow Grendel will be hounding you to death now, followed by his deciples.
No place in this league for people like that.

As for posting something you might regret in the morning don't worry you get used to it:);)

HAHA! just thought the stewarding and crowd control was appalling and could have provoked a situation.
It also seemed like there were too many people in our end.

One thing he is right about is the money going to some of our players not quite tallying up with our league position.
How do you know?
he's what he should be.
We're too nice as a club and a support.
We should aim to be the most hated club in the division. Fucking sick of all this good old Coventry shit, if they're going to treat us like Millwall with over the top searches going into the ground then lets behave like like the cunts. We've been far too tolerant for far too long. Might regret posting this in the morning but fuck it if they're going to treat me like a criminal and treat my sons inhaler like it's an IED then we may as well act like morons. Fuck it, I've had enough.
Same topic as MK and Brighton I know, but the morons standing in front of us weren’t too nice. Constant abuse of the Mansfield fans (it’s not banter it’s just abuse) and the Mansfield stewards, hardly watching the game. One of them deliberately stamped on his seat until it split in two. The second week running I have seen something being thrown, this time our friend, now without a seat, who threw something at the female steward with the glasses (okay it missed her, but not the point). This lad was about 16, there with a mate, his younger brother and proud dad who lead them all in an impressive collection of hate filled chants against people they don’t know and have never met. The younger boy, about ten or eleven, had already inherited his dad’s collection of abusive swear filled chants and displayed his knowledge as proud dad looked on or joined in.
I love my club and I still love going to football. I have to say that yesterday I did wonder if I really want to spend my Saturday afternoons surrounded by people like these. It’s no good saying, it’s the way it is, it’s part of the experience or whatever. It puts people off going. I wouldn’t want my granddaughter to go to games in the future if this is what she will experience. Part of the ongoing discussion of fan behaviour this season after sexual abuse at Chesterfield and urinating on the steps at MK.
I thought the Mansfield stewards were great yesterday. They remained polite and smiley in trying to do their job in what must have been a difficult afternoon. I thought the lady steward with the glasses was very brave in the way she stuck to the task, particularly when the penalty went in and the stewards were hard pressed keeping people back from the wall.
I wouldn’t think the steward’s thought Coventry fans (or Coventry people in general) were too nice.

The referee has witnessed it, the linesman has witnessed it, the fourth official has witnessed it and referees assessor has witnessed it.

Let’s wait now on what happens to him.

The guys uneducated and has had most likely a background of being bullied as a child and hasn’t the mental capacity to work it out that it isn’t right. I imagine he’s a bully in his home and the family aren’t strong enough to tell him he’s an embarrassment.

Why doesn’t his chairman deal with him... why?

Nah, education has very little to do with actual intelligence.

Evans is clearly just a total twat head.

I had a very different experience of their stewards, rude, clueless and thick as mince.

Absolutely agree. I came away from little Accrington Stanley wondering whether the local zoo had reported some missing inmates.

I'm gonna go against the grain. I like steve Evans, he's one of the few characters left in the games and enjoyed some success as a manager and a good one for L2 and L1.
He's a bit over the top in many aspects of the game notably the pitch side antics and his interview after the game was a little humorous to given Mansfield were awarded everything.

But he spoke out to defend his player who a opposition manager said some choice words against and criticised the referee that was poor and easily influenced.

He came out and said what we think weekly about the quality of the officials at this level and a little short of a percentage of what our fan base were calling the ref after 15 minutes yesterday!!

Quite frankly I like that there his boys and he's with them desperately trying to get out of a poor league and got a side looking to do just that.

Although he seems slightly strange his record as a manager especially at lower levels is pretty good.

It's very good indeed, several promotions and generally leaves a side in a better place, and has his sides competitive and well drilled.

If he was a quieter character I'm sure he'd be back managing at a higher level.

I remember looking at the highlights of the Game they played with Cheltenham. Can’t find it now on sky sports. There was a few sending offs. Just remember seeing their antics on the sidelines trying to get the opposition player sent off after a late challenge.

I was shaking my head in disbelief. And that’s as a neutral. No wonder Johnson asked them to be filmed during the game.

It’s truly disgraceful. To rant and rave like lunatics for full 90 plus minutes at every single decision.

They are horrible horrible creatures.

what happened?

About 5pmish, prob 100 or so Cov on the platform and maybe 6/7 police manning the different entrances. A couple of Cov fans arrived complaining of Mansfield lads having a go at shirters on the way back to the station, then a handful appeared at the bottom of the steps mouthing off etc...q obvious abuse etc from Cov but these lads looked up for it.

Within a minute they started streaming onto the opposite platform and must have been about 40/50 - a mix of ‘Yoof’ and older lads and it looked like it was gonna kick off big time - they ran to the end of the platform presumably to try and come up back round our side. Police pressed the help button and with maybe two minutes the whole of Notts constabulary turned up sirens whaling...

Could have got nasty, prob about 15/20 Cov looked up for it with none of our usual Stone Island brigade present in numbers.....was a little unnerving if you had kids with you knowing how quickly things can escalate.

Didn’t surprise me after the trouble at our place.

Go on Clint!! Rest assured, I’m sure the Stone Island brigade will be back out for Crewe Away, Bar 7 is always bouncing.

On your last point, I know a lot of posters deny it but I’ve said for some time that our fans have had enough and are at breaking point, which seems to particularly come to a head at away games.

I've calmed down now but was pissed off with their stewards, worst I've encountered this season.
That was just my experience, as IrishSkyblue said, his experience of them was different.

Really? The sending off I'm referring to. Thought it was as clear as day - Last man and all that. The 'penalty' should have been a free kick their way.
When you spend all the game abusing the referee and 4th official then some decisions are bound to go against you and that fat twat Evans is only reaping what he sows

You've gone from a loony liberal to a violence fuelled thug in a matter of days, that's good going!

at Barnet I thanked a few stewards at the end of the match and wished them all the best as I thought they treated us brilliantly, so I'm appreciative when they do a good job and treat people with respect.

Vile man should never be in football, why the FA don't clamp down on him I don't know. And to think not so long ago, there were people on here wanting him as our Manager!!

Countless opposition managers have referred to us offering substantial wages to certain players and we already know the budget is one of the highest in the league.

A good get out when the result goes wrong for them the interviewer should say how much did you offer then and how much did they get him for and then expect total silence

As per Mansfield’s official YouTube channel. Deary me they need to get over it

The last one could well have been given, but it was very soft. You see it at normal speed and it looks like a nothing challenge. Slow it down and it looks more of a push.

The ref only sees things at normal speed and at normal speed I don't see how you can give it. Shouldn't have been a yellow for their player though I don't think.

from the footage shot from behind the goal it looked like a clear dive. Thought our penalty looked soft to be honest. One think that is beyond dispute, evans is a grade A prick.

Yeah, ours does look soft, but interesting to note that the player that committed the foul on JCH doesn't complain at all.

He definitely catches him, but JCH also clearly plays for it.

good point about their player, hadn't noticed that.

I thought Evans use of words said a lot in the interview. He said his player 'earned' a penalty but it wasn't given. There was contact from Hyam but their player was looking for and made sure he went down. The ref was right behind and could see he played for it and booked him.

Saying that, we were definitely lucky with our pen, JCH just basically ran into the defender and fell on top of him.

Agreed.
Ours looked soft but I did think was a pen. Their player is stumbling and stumbles in to his path. I don’t think there has to be intent (does there?!), he takes him out.
