Having sat through the Barnet game, I'll happily settle for 6 points from the next 3 games. I'm confident that we'll beat Grimsby (1-0 in the 83rd minute!), so that leaves a win from Luton or Crewe, I'm going to Crewe and fancy us to beat them (although I've seen us struggle up there before) but it's difficult to be confident against Luton on Tuesday, knowing that we're probably going to have to score a couple to get a win/point. Don't usually say this about a home game, but I'd take the point now if you offered it me.

I’ll be happy with a point tomorrow but that would have to be followed up with 6 against against Crewe and Grimsby

If you could guarantee me 6 against Crewe and Grimsby, I'd even take defeat tomorrow night - although as I'm going to have to sit through it, at the moment, I wouldn't!

Luton aren't on the best of form at the moment. 1 win out of 5 games, with draws against lesser sides. As long as we don't have a repeat of our performance on Saturday then I'd fancy us to get a draw.

A draw tomorrow takes us back into the play-offs, so that can only be seen as a positive result.

I would gladly take a point, but if we can grind out the three then I believe we will be back in the hunt for the autos

I admire the optimism.

If we win tomorrow we are all going to be buzzing and with Super Lionel Messi Pele Baker to join into the fray imminently, we all surely start thrashing teams out of sight very soon indeed.

Baker could be key over the rest of the season. He has qualities still and at this level should score one or two which is what we need right now.
Beat Luton and we are buzzing again.

For me, it's a 'free hit' of a game tomorrow. I'm expecting nothing out of the game, except effort, and of the mindset that anything else is a bonus. In some ways I should feel more optimistic, it's just that our last few games have all been a war of attrition, with little flair breaking out. Luton will hopefully bring the best out of us, as should an evening game atmosphere, with a decent away following. Come on City !!

To be fair

To be fair, thats not dissimilar to three games ago. I wanted 7 from 9.

We drew the first game (Mansfield), which meant we needed to win the last two. Which we did,

Need to change that thinking, just look at the next 45 mins and nothing more ,treat them as if we are 45mins away from promotion, and play like are lives depended on it then , go again in the second half the same , everything else will take care of its self , easy to say I know but that's what we have to do

You would be correct if I was a player and could affect what will happen ! I will bellow my head off in encouragement, but after that it is beyond ny control (just preparing myself for the worst in advance!!)Of course I want a win :woot:

As good as Luton have been over the season, they’ve only scored 10 over their last 6 games and they’ve only kept one clean sheet. So they’re not the threat they were, say, when we beat them 3-0 at their place. It’s an absolutely winnable game for us and it’s come at a good time, and we’re the home side with good home form on our side!

I’d take a draw to get back in the playoffs, but we can win this.

Isn't 'only scored 10 in their last 6 games' almost an average of 2 goals a game?

We have only scored 5 goals in the last 6 games, so an average of less than 1 goal per game.

You and your damned maths facts Otis, it's clear from said statistics we are clear favourites.

That is true, but for Luton, that is a dip in form both defensively and offensively. They're going away against a team with two clean sheets on the bounce that clean sheeted them away, when they were on the top of their game. They've also not won in 3, whereas we're unbeaten in 3, so it's a dangerous game for them.

1 down 1 point. Right let's get 6 points from the remaining 2 games this month so that at least for the moment we remain in the play-offs (aka keep the whingers at bay).

Look at remaining fixtures and its easy to be a fool and syart believing in autos

Would take a massive run but on paper its doable

Thibk only 3 games vs playoff rivals

But hey 1 game at a time. Saturday is HUGE for us. Must win
