Willis badly damaged ankle (6 Viewers)

Did it in training, didn't sound too good

Leaves us very light at the back, no actual centre half for the bench

Yeah Stokes is there but the only defender, which is a bit of a worry if Hyam or McDonald get injured (or sent off)

Did you hear Geoff Foster?

He said 'So has Jordan Willis had a bit of setback?'

Robins replied with disdain 'setback?'

Just what is our Geoff smoking exactly?

5 centre halves in a squad of 24 should be enough! No one to blame, just pure bad luck! TOnight felt like a defeat for me!

Sounds like season over fingers crossed the scan shows only a sprain but I did see Willis on crutches with a protective boot on.

We've been so unlucky with injuries this season! I'd like to know if any other team in the league have had as many injuries to key players as us.
All long term injured or have spent time on the sidelines.

Andrue
Jones
Willis
Kelly
Doyle
McDonald
Davies
Grimmer (all be it 2 games with concussion)
Stokes (rested with a knock)

If Robins ever iOS and leaves us again I’m holding Geoff personally responsible as every post match interview he does you can sense Robins is holding an outburst back! One day he will go all Presley / Slade on him!

You could almost hear his thoughts as he uttered the word 'setback?'

You could tell he was thinking 'what on earth are you babbling on about you fool!'

Will be massive miss. Hyam has done really well, but hes nowhere near the class of Willis.

Was a miffed why Stokes was only recognised defender on bench yesterday. Stokes can do a job a centre back but we would want to be relying on him there.

Davies should hopefully be back very soon 1/2 weeks, worst case end of the month. So a bit of backup in Aprill/May.

As Clive Eakin said, he was a bit surprised young Thompson wasn't on the bench.

Robins in his mind he must have had a worst case back up plan in case what happened at FGR truck again. ie reshuffling the pack, to play Kelly at Right Back etc.

Interesting not heard
BMR said they would have to let the swelling go down first, probably a couple of days .
You'd probably expect he's had the scan by yesterday ,so we'll probably find out from the phone in tonight unless it was brought up at this mornings match preciew Interview.
Which brings me to the point, Where Nick and the tweets this morning?
Hope he's ok, hasn't been so prolific since mid-week.

Yeah, has to be season over. Even at 4 weeks that takes us to the middle of April and there will probably only be maybe 2 games left.

He would need to get match fit on top of that too, so as long as Tom Davies gets back fit and into the side it would be best to let Willis heal in his own good time.
