Stand up if you've never watched Wasps (8 Viewers)

Yep, they also seemed to not really see it as news either...

Sit down interview to be released with no real news to come out the same time as the news that the accounts are late and action is being taken?

Must be the same co-incidence as this place having record registrations the same day the news about the Higgs came out, as one other example ;)

Then what, back to Northampton ?

Why not? If sisu say it’s suits their business model the likes of you and oucho will be the first to shake Fishers hand and give them your full support.

Your only question I assume would be why not go another 50 miles away

Nope I’ll be gone like most others.

Sisu won’t buy it so there is a good chance the stressing of ACL will start again.

The lease reverts back to the council on the original terms doesn’t it? It would then be pretty valueless and make the club a lot more attractive to a new buyer.

Wouldn't ACL be stressed from Wasps going pop / moving away?
Exactly. If it all goes tits up it proves Fisher right that the stadium is not viable with a huge debt attached.

Its beyond me how more people can't grasp the simple fact that if we want rid of SISU the Ricoh being potentially available for a future owner to purchase would be a massive plus.

Although it would be quite funny to see the outrage if SISU did buy it and then loaded it with millions in debt to pay themselves back.

Exactly. So for all concerned we are all bound in together.
If one goes we all go.
Not ideal.
How on earth have you come to that conclusion?

If Wasps and / or ACL go bust or they decide to move elsewhere the stadium is on the market again. The club can rent and look for a new owner who will buy both the club and stadium.

There is so much money in the pot from advertising and people’s spare cash at the moment it’s gets split three ways if the landlords went it’s only two so the remaining clubs are better off, unfortunately some ofthe people of Coventry have welcomed this team as that Eastwood bloke says they have got way more back than they have ever put in (sums them up really). Just read Eastwood thing and my god is that man boring he should be a politician as he answers nothing.

If Wasps went pop I wonder if all those people who are just desperate to watch rugby would be heading to the Butts?

Or Sisu just continue on where they left off

That's how I see it because Sisu are still here and won't/can't buy the stadium.
New buyers need to satisfy Sisu debt expectations which are unrealistic.
Finally Sisu have a grudge to bear with CCC and that has yet to be sorted to their advantage.

Why would a new buyer of the club not also build a new stadium. Surely a stadium bowl would be cheaper for the club than buying the whole Ricoh complex ?

Nope, not ideal as we stand but the best scenario.

Here we go, round in circles with Italia day again. I hope you have somebody there good at untying those knots you get yourself in.

Another one where you change a couple of words in a sentence you post from CCFC to Wasps and you do a 180.

Italia as sky blue talks official London wasps spokesman could you answer please.

I've been studying the Wasps 150 year History book (signed copy) and other than my name being printed in it I notice that London Wasps was the name of the club for only 15 years of the 150. ;)

My local team is Coventry Welsh until Wasps move their training ground there.

Yes, they changed it just before they moved.

I hope the residents of Burbages Lane will be OK with all of the extra traffic up and down, would hate for them to be upset.

Sisu need to get the Ricoh for peanuts to package it with the club.
That was the plan first time round and any logical person would see that would be the plan again.
Hardened CCFC fans will see that as fair but obviously CCC and ratepayers see it different and hence why Wasps are here.
To be honest if Sisu played it reasonably fair they may have got it for peanuts but we are past that now.

No problem. Slip road and frontage onto A444.
Most of them already get £20 a match thanks to Just Park.

Am I missing something, surely if the Ricoh is packaged with the club it makes it a better package for a potential buyer?

As I said, all we need to do is change CCFC for Wasps and your view completely changes. If you think a new buyer for CCFC should just build a stadium, why didn't Wasps? Then it will go to "Land prices in London are expensive", at which point you will be asked "So if the land is cheaper 80 miles away a new buyer of the club can just build there?" to where you just contradict everything you say about Wasps because the names have changed.

So the new buyer would purchase CCFC and 'lease' the stadium just like Wasps?
If they do want to buy both it would be cheaper to build a new one is what I'm saying.

Don't ever forget Sisu said they would only come back as owners of the freehold until TF and JS got caught with their pants down.

If Wasps went down the pan, what debts would there be if the lease went back to the council?

So like Sisu you see that if Wasps (and ACL) go down the pan the stadium will be up for grabs unencumbered ?
As I said the hardened CCFC fans see this as a plan.

Where did I say it was a plan? I was asking for facts on what would happen....

You keep saying CCFC need Wasps and if Wasps go it means CCFC will have to, the fact you are saying if Wasps go tits up the stadium will be up for grabs with no debt so potentially a new owner could come in and take the lot or SISU will to package it with CCFC is a bit of a contradiction of the first bit.

Which again raises the question why Wasps didn't just build one themselves. Ah, because it takes a lot less time and effort when the ground's already been built. Not for them, mind you, but still.

You already know the answer.
What you suggested is exactly what Sisu planned to happen and why we ended up in Northampton.
Sometimes you need to negotiate fairly and not flex your 'so called' muscles.
