I’ve always thought Nouble was a tosser. He was lazy with a massive chip on his shoulder (God knows why).

I hope it gives our players extra incentive, especially those who were here when he was. Although off the top of my head I’m not sure who would have been, maybe Burge, Willis and the youngsters (who would have been in the academy at the time).

Haynes set him up for the goal against Gillingham, apart from the others you have mentioned I am not sure which players were here at that time

You are right, we are not staying in Newport.

We're in the forest somewhere near Coleford for the weekend. Feel free to give me a shout tomorrow if you want a pint :)

We all know what you two will be talking about :emoji_smiley:

As for the town centre it’s actually alright. It’s a 5-10 minute walk across the bridge from the ground and you are greeted by all major shops and restaurants. Recently Upgraded it looks to me and looks very similar to our cathedral lanes.

I desperately want us to bag all 3 points, but there is just a glimmer of hope Newport could make a late surge towards the playoffs.

They are excellent at home this season, only losing 3 times.

0-2. Disappointing and lethargic performance.

Be no-one happier than me if that proves not to be the case.

It's going to be scrappy, still want somebody to put a crunching tackle in on Pipe. Maybe JCH can give him a bit.

Has there been a game in the last 20 years you didn't want to start with us snapping someone?

I don't think, even testimonials.

I don't think Newport have any chance of the playoffs. That said, the have a good home record and we haven't won 3 games on the bounce all season iirc. All set up for a massive disappointment. Hate to be negative, but this is the sort of crunch game we rarely win. Can't see beyond a defeat, but so hope I'm wrong.

Excited about this one. For some reason I have a feeling that we have stopped delivering lethagic performances.

3 points at Newport will again give me hope.

Dont forget how poor they were at the Ricoh. Just try not to get dragged down to therir level.

JCH is key.

Newport’s season, in a sense is ‘over’, safe from the drop, but realistically out of the playoff hunt. Here’s some mixed news for us going into the game:

— Newport have won once in their last 10 games
— however, they haven’t lost to anyone in the top 7 at home, including Spurs.
— they’ve only lost 3 home games all season

This kind of fixture is a real test of how far we’ve come against teams that will want to stifle us from the get go.

2-0, McNulty and JCH to score.

I don't think they have either, but if they were to win today and Monday they may feel they have just a glimmer of a chance.

With Pipe playing I would say this is not a game for Kyel Reid.

Stick with Shipley on the left.
