The other CCFC - gotta hand it to Warnock, everywhere he goes he gets them playing above themselves. I called for him a season or so ago. The man's a genius.

Another unpopular figure, but a brilliant manager for the Championship.

Steve Evans is a pound shop Neil Warnock, mega twat, his 'squeaky Robins rant' is case and point. But, he knows how to get teams promoted - look at Mansfield after he's gone! We probably wouldn't have went down last season had we appointed him or Cotterill last year.

Reid is an impact sub, keep it that way. drop a player for performing poorly today could affect the confidence in a side unbeaten in 7.

I'd disagree, we were very lucky not to concede 2 or 3 just after half time. Vincenti is a liability defensively and offers very little going forward.

That Burge save was probably the best I have ever seen from a Coventry keeper. Comparable standard to Westwood against Birmingham. The clearance off the line from Hyam just after was also superb.

While I agree that we've hit form at the right time, to me the play offs is nothing but a lottery.
Not exactly a lottery but I know what you are saying.

What I am trying to say is this is where confidence puts you in the driving seat. Teams that looked like hitting the automatic places have had a bad run. Teams that looked like they had secured a playoff place have had a bad run.

Then you have us. Our season seemed to be in trouble. But since then we have put an unbeaten run together. Nobody will want to play us.

But don't worry. If the form table keeps up we will get into the top 3

Great result today. However, despite telling myself many times not to include Cov in my acca, they were the only team to let me down today in a 6 team acca for £100.

However, all was not lost. I had a spare £2 in my online account so let Mrs WM have an acca as she sometimes does.

Macclesfield scoring a winner in the 94th minute meant she had 7/7 winners so she won £203!

I say ‘she’ won, it was my money from my account!

Yep, caused them loads of issues. They didn't like him running about.

In hindsight, starting with Reid may have made more sense because Newport play 5-3-2 and our original midfield 4 are all centre midfielders - so quite narrow. Whereas, typically, having an overlapping full back (Haynes) and a direct pacy winger (Reid) would cause a bit more problems, and I assume that's what happened when he was eventually brought on (based off comments on here and on the game's commentary).

But, that's with hindsight, and after going 6 matches unbeaten, I don't blame Robins for keeping with an unchanged side. Reid probably deserves a bit more game time I think. See what he can do.

Robins

It's a good point

ThI'm no we knew coming down here they play a way that puts you under pressure. They make you work, put you under pressure

Poor goal for us to concede

Burger save was out of this world, then one blocked on the line (Hyam)

Didn't create enough but we've got a really good point

Biamou has been doing that in training; composed and able to take it down

Battled away and had better of second half

Keeps momentum going

Momentum is important at this stage

Kept our run going

Need to take it into Monday

Allows us to regroup for Monday

McNulty was feeling ham string but he says he OK. Needed to freshen up despite this.

A little bit unlucky not to score a second

Thankful for a point

Baker has been ill. hasn't trained and is still feeling his calf

Kyel Reid has to start Monday, completely changed the game when he came on.

Biamou finish was brilliant.

Showed very good technique and a bit of a calm head when we didn't look like scoring.

What made less sense was that Ponti was sent on before Biamou at a point where we were chasing the game on a heavy pitch.

I made two accumulators, one with Cov to win, and basically results to go our way. And, another which was 'realistic', Shrewsbury lost to Rochdale and Preston (in betting, my 'lucky' team) lost to Sheffield Wednesday - had it gone through I'd have won £800. I always get so close.

The Ponti change was a bit random. I think I was more in the game than him.

Was a great finish. Took the ball just as it bounced and needs catching perfectly to keep that down.
