Anybody else try to spot football grounds when on a train journey? Or is it just me the sad bastard...
Cov to Manchester you've got:

St Andrews
The Hawthorns (you can just see floodlights at a certain point)
Stoke City
Moss Rose, Macclesfield
Stockport County
Eastlands

Also was on a train diverted via Walsall that went close to The Bescot and Villa

Others I know are visible from the train:

Wembley
Villa Park
Stamford Bridge
The Den
The Valley
Elland Road
Macron Stadium, Bolton
Wigan
Old Trafford

Any others?

Yeah. Pass any town or city on the rail network and always have one eye out for football stsdiums to see where they are and what they look like.

St Marys (Southampton)is right next to railway line.
I like looking out for them when flying e.g. Southampton to Glasgow. It's the best way to keep track on where you are.

(I'm not the pilot, by the way)

You can see the new Wolves stand from the train now too. I thought I was the only one who ground spots while out and about!!

Olympic Stadium

Never understood why they changed the name to London Stadium. Olympic is far better and when a sponsor was found they could have just called it the whatever Olympic Stadium

Forgot Huddersfield, went past it on the train the other week as well. I didn't realise you could see Bramall Lane tbh

You should have given me a wave as you were passing. Bramall Lane is only just visible if you know which direction to look.
