Couldnt get to the match so had to endure half listening to it on CWR and on here.

One of the clowns said Bassett was coming on. Fruedulan slip? Reminded him of Bertie?

Then when JCH went down after the pitch invasion 'Kinnell said this could be a problem as we have used all our substitutes. Probably still in the olden days with 2 subs.

The fact that Geoff Foster has a job where he talks for a living makes no fucking sense at all. I tried to watch the Ponticelli interview but Foster's questioning was just bizarre.
I'm glad I went to the game yesterday, as I didn't have to listen to CWR and the inane "commentary " for ninety odd minutes.
They get on my nerves and I'd like to hear some new presenters now.

One of the things that annoys me the most is the post match callers who haven't even been to the match.

They will ring up and say 'Kelly was really good today. He put in one hell of a shift,' not realising that the likes of myself go to the games and also have the commentary on at the same time and Eakin is forever guilty of mistaken identity, calling Kelly, Doyle and Shipley, Bayliss etc.

Happens all the time. A great block by McDonald is probably a great block by Davies. Just because Eakin keeps on saying 'Kelly, Kelly, Kelly's it doesn't actually mean it was Kelly at all.

Those who don't go should offer literally zero analysis.

At least it’s not ‘steet wise’. Fuck me, Linnell, Squeakin and Foster couldn’t stop using the phrase after Robins mentioned it after the Accrington home game.

Reminds me of when pressley used the word conducive in an interview and then it was constantly repeated on the radio as if they were some sort of football philosopher now

Do you reckon the shit commentary is to encourage people to go to games? Like the club put it in the BBC contract same way they can’t stream it online.

I’ve tried this once years ago and you’re right, the commentary was incorrect about 60-70% of the time. Eakin also does nothing to describe the game, he doesn’t even mention what end we’re kicking towards. He frequently gets the name of the team we’re playing wrong so on a Saturday afternoon we could be playing Barnet, Bolton or Barnsley. Pathetic.
