Well it will but anyway
Agreed. There will be fingers pointed at Wasps and anyone else , but you and I and everyone else know the score.

Who employed Robins?
Who employed Boddy?
Both are employed by Otium I would assume.

If you mean who recruited them it would be Fisher as nobody else was at the club to do it but the time Robins came in (might be wrong, going from memory).

Boddy is on the commercial side so doubt he has anything to do with Robins or the football side of things.

We all have our own views on SISU and I'd much rather not have them here as they are toxic. They've ruined an already declining club even further and some issues probably cant be fixed until they leave ... however ...

... does anyone else think they've turned a bit of corner? Is the damage irreparable or with time and positivity on the pitch do you think it conceivable that without any billionaire Russian on the horizon, we could work better with them?

I think they believed it could be made profitable by asset stripping as hedge funds do with business, but finally the penny might have dropped in terms of investment to halt the decline and we're now seeing more sensible offers (eg the recent £45/£75 tickets) to attract people back when the club need us most.

I'd like to think it's not result orientated and that we fans are considered customers who should be looked after, but is there any longevity in their plan or is it short term considered purely for cashing in? Perhaps they've realised that more fans helps the team and promotions = an upturn in revenue? Is it just the current personnel is better than at previous times or savvy business decisions? I wonder if the massive drop in revenue to L2 was not planned for and now accept they needed to address.

I even like that we have to use our academy kids perhaps before they're completely ready and more forgiving of them because of that (unlike the dickhead behind me on Saturday constantly abusing Shippers). I hope it's a change and things are quieter when we're doing well as most of us just want to see the team win, but if we don't go up and we lose some of that showcased potential, then what do you think will happen next season?
It all seems to of coincided with David Boddy coming in, I think he's pulling a lot of the strings and making the offers etc. It's also a bonus because (touch wood) it means that we haven't heard from a certain wet fish(er) this season!

Not surprised that Maddison is that old witches favourite player he is her biggest asset, people like Scope maybe have finally woken up to the fact if they don’t start to produce they will be gone (in my opinion he has been lucky to last this long).

With the academy the bloke that is on the potential consortium Overson? Seems to put a few quid in there hopefully he feels it is for a long term benefit for the consortium and not these current shits.

The sisu way of spending what you make is lovely but unfortunately very few teams are playing by the same rules so it won’t ever work.

The sooner they are gone the better they are appalling owners up there with the Oystons and those clowns at Blackburn

I can only assume that the OP has forgotten that we only have a one year extension at the Ricoh and if they don’t end their obsession with taking people to court that may be a big enough barrier for that to be it.

Other than that I agree with Nicks initial post on the subject. And then Northern Wisdoms.

Not a chance mate. We seen what happened when Mowbray needed backing in January. I’m afraid this will happen time and time again with them in charge. They don’t speculate to accumulate.
You never know, they may just decide to back Robins because after all the managers they have appointed Robins is the only one to actually give them a return with the Checkatrade trophy and possible promotion this year

We definately need to back this manager thats for sure.

I think things have improved but we will measure the season no doubt on the dissapointment that may be ahead of us. I really thought this was going to be the season and still hope it is that we go up.

This league is a joke and we are one of the best teams on our day. We need to continue grinding out results...this will go to the wire IMO.

Global economics, big business is all unsavoury these days. When I was a kid banks were reputable institutions who gave advice and looked after your money. Now they would slice and dice you and then try and repossess your home.

SISU are garbage and I have said it many times; they have missed countless opportunities to get the fans on board. Yes I think things are marginally better but with a black mountain of catastrophic mistakes still dominating the horizon.

I don't even know how the OP is a question.

They're still utterly useless, inept, and out for themselves rather than the club. Always have been, always will be.
Absolutely, the hedge fund themselves give not a jot for CCFC as long as they don't have to reveal their losses to the market place. We will forever be hamstrung whilst they are in situ and competing no higher than League 1 !

Good brave post.

In short we all would like to think so.
Less overly reliant on loans like previous sessons is certainly an improvement (medium term) loans don't work unless as only 1 in 50 turn out to be gem like Adam Armstrong.

Transfer policy who ever it is. Is ultimately paid for Sisu.

Doeasnt help when half our fans don't turn up to home matches.

If we win promotion this year. It will still go down as one of our best periods in our history with 2 visits through Wembley finals. Even though it's from a shitty level.

Honestly yes I think it has improved. Been pleasantly surprised with the business done last year. And no fire sales.

Is the use of loans or lesser number of them this season down to the managers preference and preparations of his and the back room teams rather than the owners possibly having a more long term vision all be it 2 years.

We’ve seen a high number of loans in previous seasons that’s reaped it’s rewards in some cases but largely failed.

This summer we can at least look forward to adding to the squad as opposed to a restructuring like the last few seasons we’ve witnessed.

no improvement. just wasters. We will be lucky to stay up IF we get back into L1. bargain basement players next year. While Sisu stay we have no chance of Championship level. Any decent players sold so weaker following season. No change, watch next close season. We need rid of Sisu before we improve. Now City are a L1/L2 team, how is that an improvement?

Wait till we fail to make the play offs in a couple of weeks. The SISU protests will be back..

In my eyes the two main things Sisu as opposed to CCFC are responsible for are getting us somewhere to play and stopping the stupid legals. On both fronts they are no different.

Lots of credit to the likes of Boddy and others who’s names I don’t know at the club to make a pretty good silk purse from a sow’s ear.

It must be said that things have improved since Boddy cane in: that’s not to say things are ‘good’ now but there is much more in terms of offers, incentives and communication in general seems ‘better’, still not good, so credit to Boddy for that

No. They took the last season my Grandad would’ve had as a season ticket holder away from him. After 3 quarters of a century of support they moved his club 34 miles and killed off the passion he had for it. After the club returned he went to a couple of games but that was it. He didn’t want to go any more. I can never forgive them for that. The worst thing about what I’ve written is I can almost guarantee others on this forum can tell a similar story about their Grandad, Uncle, Dad, Brother, cousin or friend.

Yep, my daughters rarely went back and then lost interest after that Northampton travesty.

Yep.

Pretty much me, my dad and all of my mates. There was about 8 of us at one point.
Me and my dad panic bought a season ticket when we moved back but nobody else bothered, then my dad gave up, then I gave up. Went to 3 games on my last season ticket.
I've had a child since, I work shifts and I can't justify taking holiday for games anymore. If we hadn't had that year away I wouldn't have found other things to do on a Saturday. Taking holiday for matches would have continued and been normal. I can't speak for all my mates but I will anyway. That year away totally fucked it.

Far play to the people that carried on etc etc and so on. But apart from pissing about on here when I'm at work, the occasional match thread and obviously checking the results and table online, I'm basically a plastic now.

Edit: I'm not pinning ALL the blame on Sisu, but I do hate the cunts.

My dad's the same and I started the thread, but this isn't about the history, we all know that and it's been done to death and it's how we move forward. They've not killed anyone or committed any crime, I bet most who are angry supported Marlon or other criminals who have played for us, but given the opportunity of redemption.

I feel like I'm supporting SISU here and that's certainly not the intention I was one of the strongest voices, refused to go to Northampton and still not forgiven many things, but I want to see a fuller Ricoh, I want promotion, I want success and I'm fed up of 'fighting' them. It's clear they'll only go on their terms if the past 10 years hasn't moved them on, so if it needs a line in the sand then we have to back it too - if the IRA and DUP managed to form a truce then surely there's some common ground we can find. Doesn't mean we have to like each other but for the good of future of the club.

Because we've been downsized so much that it's almost impossible to not achieve relative success. It's the equivalent of drowning in the bath and then thinking you've learned to swim when in reality all the water has drained out.
Love that, very clever.

Unfortunatey to get most of the things you want these cunts need to get out of our Club.
They have done that much damage to this club thousands will never forgive them.
Got to be honest I am only just about hanging on, after 45 years of support. Shame just a shame.
Can't even be bothered to post on here like I used to the passion has nearly gone.

The mowbray backing thing is a myth, he brought in plenty. Just not very good.
No Nick, they were on short term contracts due to budget restriction and therefore the dregs.
He was not backed, financial implications for future years were not permitted so his choice was very poor.

Most promotion rivals signed no players at all or short term deals as well
