Are we going up? (7 Viewers)

Yeah, course they do. One bad refereering decision and it can be curtains.

Would reckon every team would be a little nervous.

I think more likely than a bad refereeing decision it will be a bad miss, a defensive slip or a keeping mistake that will cost teams.

Yep, all those too, but can foresee a dodgy pen deciding a game too for sure.

I'd fancy us in the cup-style situation of the playoffs. I think we can do it. Fancy us against anyone over 2 legs. Preference would be for Wycombe to drop out and us to get them, think we have the beating of them.

The way i see it is providing we make the playoff's and i hope we do and we should fingers crossed, then i feel that no one in the playoffs will fancy meeting us,us to make it to the finals, then it really is a lottery

I don't see why we can't make play offs. What happens after that depends on how knee jerk our fans get.

Can we not play both legs away or not tell the day trippers.

I dread the toxic half whit section who turn up for a big occasion who are more used to watching Man City, Spurs... etc and spoilt by sublime attacking free flowing crisp football.

The core base of us understand Micky Doyle’s passing range is more miss than hit, Grimmer will be turned inside out occasionally, Burge will pull off a top draw save or wave to his mum and dad... this is ccfc of 2018, it’s div 4. It’s not the prettiest, it’s not for most but it’s our level.

We know all this and will generally support the side not get on there backs, the day trippers and half whits are not used to L2 football it’s outside of what there sky boxes show them and not how football is played... best just not to tell them it’s our best chance of promotion

Apologies if it offends anyone

We should be in the top 7 with the games to go. We have 4 left and 3 at home and 3 against teams that have not much to play for. No excuse really.

Ponticelli may be the suprise package that gets the club over the line

No, because the play-offs are a lottery and Coventry is not a lucky club.

Sorry but this is bullshit. Plenty of games this season, particularly in the early part of the season & played in front of paltry home crowds, or away games where tickets have been sold only to season ticket holders have had toxic atmospheres, with the regular 'super' supporters turning on the players. There as many idiot season ticket holders & regulars as there are idiot 'daytrippers'.

Totally agree we’ve a few super fans as you describe them that get easily frustrated with what they see too and whiteness it myself home and away and you describe what I don’t want a toxic atmosphere like you and I’ve clearly seen.

But as you said a key wording was earlier in the season... a few have adapted to the level were at now and football played at this level.
A good few haven’t but most have so the day tripper as I called them will likely fall into the furious toxic bracket I dread.

At the Accrington game Bayliss misplaced a pass in the first few minutes and the guy in front of me just shouted “you’re shit” at the top of his lungs at him. It’s ‘fans’ like that turning up for playoff games and getting on players backs that worries me.

This is the point I’m making. It doesn’t boost the players in any form

Had it at MK to in the cup “your wank Shipley” No that’s Barrett, Shipley is on the bench.

Another favourite of mine which is on here actually is the fat boy Barrett quotes. Now granted he’s not set the place alight during his loan spell but like Ponticelli has good form in the U21’s at reading and also like Ponticelli is a very similar build.

Funny how we view individuals to how we like them!

At any play off game the fans will naturally get behind the team & I really don't see this as an issue. The only time when the fans might get on their back is when all is lost. In a play off scenario I just don't see our fans getting on the teams back if we go a goal down. Also in a bigger crowd the odd moaner, whether they be a season ticket holder or a day tripper are less likely to be heard by the players, than in an empty stadium where you can hear a pin drop. I very much doubt a single person shouting anything about Shipley, Barratt or whoever was heard by the players at MK, whereas I bet Vincenti has heard most of the abuse leveled at him at an empty Ricoh this season.
