Lincoln have tough games, we need to beat them, Mansfield have a few easy ones now and Wycombe have tough games but after last week, I’m only focusing on the ones below and getting better results than them.
I still think we need 3 wins, I wouldn’t like to chance 2 wins and only a draw with maybe a loss, especially if the loss was to Lincoln

2 wins and a draw is fine as long as, like you say, we don't lose to Lincoln.

Your Assuming Mansfield dont win their last 3.

If Mansfield win 2 and draw 1, they will pip us on goal difference if we just win 2.

We cant leave it to chance. Win 3 , we gurantee top 7. Even if we lose to lincoln.

Yeah, it's an assumption.

They've just achieved their first win in 10. Could happen, but feel it unlikely they will now win 4 in a row all of a sudden.

Also, can I add, it's okay to look up too as well as down. :)

I think there is a possibility we could catch Notts County still. They are 5 points clear, but we have a game in hand and their last match is against Luton, who may possibly need a result for the title.

I reckon 6th for the simple fact It would just be so Coventry to go nearly 50 years without a top 6 finish and then the one year we do get it... we could’ve finished 7th anyway

Or not, they are +14 we are +12 still rate our defence against theirs, 2 goal swing is not a mountain!!

We need a 3 goal swing. 2 goals won't be enough. Their GD if we equal won't good enough.
Yes, I know. I was just pointing out that one single game can change things.

We can get a 2 goal turnaround in one game and then another 1 goal turnaround in another.

Wasn't trying to suggest that a 2 goal turnaround would be enough. Just saying things can change dramatically in one single game and we can get back level after just one group of matches.

Lincoln could struggle for that 7th place.

Mansfield have turned the corner with that massive away win in local derby.

The goal difference really concerns me. Would dread to think we miss out on GD. We just cannot afford to finish level with Mansfield. We have that one game cock up buffer.

All because of that pathetic performance vs Yeovil. Could really bite us in the bum.

1) Accrington we need them to keep on winning.
2) Luton
3) Notts County could well grab this now. 82 (3rd on GD)
4) Wycombe 82
5) Exeter
6) Coventry
7) Mansfield

Lincoln have a very tough run in, plus play 2 games a week now.
We could improve our goal difference on Friday night, we are just 2 goals worse off than Mansfield and Lincoln, a 3-0 win takes us above them - before they play again! And if we beat Lincoln at home, that would be another huge step forward.

And like I say, it is possible we could still overtake Notts County.

Game in hand and they have Luton last game of the season.

It's not all just about Lincoln and Mansfield and 7th place. We can possibly move up the table too.

Would personally rip your hand off for a win of any sort. 3 points against anyone is very hard work. As witnessed by recent home performances vs Barnet, (Grimsby first half) and yeovil.
Never mind handing out a thrashing. But hope your right.

<snip>.

Lincoln do still have to play Wycombe and ourselves. Lose both those and they could indeed miss out. They also have to play Accrington away. Tough run in.

<snip>!
Accrington away won't necessarily be tough, they will already be promoted and might even play a weakened team.

On the other hand, the title might still be on the line. Only 1 point separate themselves and Luton.

And besides, Accrington seem to be a club hardly likely to field a weakened side. I think they will go at it until the death. They just don't seem to be that kind of club. Their greatest ever season and I think they are going to keep on going to the very last.

They play Lincoln 2nd last game of the season and with Luton now back in form the title chase is probably still going to be on.

And we aren’t playing very well at the minute especially at home for some reason. It’s tight but I think 2 wins will be enough

Why a weakened team? What benefit is it to them? They want the title
Exactly.

There's too many people on here who just seem to assume that Accrington will take their foot off the pedal and start playing a weakened team.

It's their greatest season in their history and the title is still up for grabs. Surely they are much more likely to just keep on going.

Surely that is the more logical assumption. I know some teams do switch off once they have won promotion, but that can also depend on the manager.

I wouldn't expect Wolves to tail off in the Championship and I wouldn't expect Accrington to do it either.

This is a truly historic season for Accrington and they have proved tough to beat all season.

Still a lot of changes to happen over the next couple of weeks. I do feel we are in a good position, a win Friday and pressure cranks up on the likes of Mansfield lincoln and to some degree Swindon. (Though I think they may have blown thereslim hopes) realistically, 6 teams looking at 5 spots and you could say Wycombe, Exeter and county are safely in there. Just fighting for 3rd spot. So 3 teams looking at 2 places

next 8 days will be massive

7 points I think will ensure the play offs
However if we can win our next 2, and Wycombe beat Lincoln that should be enough as

Lincoln and Mansfield would both need 7 points from 3 games to overtake us (1 of them will slip up)

so If we assume autos is gone
we all need to become Wycombe supporters tomorrow , and then need to really get behind the team Friday and Tuesday to see us over the line

If Wycombe win tomorrow night that is the 3rd place just about sealed. They will be 7 points clear.

Would surely be enough to secure that final promotion place.

Don't like Wycombe or the way they play, but I will be totally backing them against Lincoln.

Win all four games and no one cares about goal difference, that has to be the target for now at all costs.
If we are losing in any game there is no point going down by a single goal, we must do what we have to in those games to get back level and then hopefully win.

Not sure I agree there tbf. Loosing by a lot could harm us. 2 wins and a draw gets us right in the mix

Does anyone else feel like our form right now is so unpredictable that we could end up finishing anywhere from 8th to 4th; from missing out on play-offs to going to Wembley? I really can’t call it any more.

1. Accrington
2. Luton
3. Wycombe
4. Exeter
5 Notts

we will be 6/7th depending on the result against Lincoln with them taking the other place.
