Shipley took his goal well, Bayliss did also but tried to do too much with the ball.

Every other player was pretty much Dogshit.

Why play McNulty if it isn't as an out and out striker? Why bring Ponti on when chasing the game and put left midfield?

Haynes is an embarassment, McDonald needs to get to the gym, not too sure how many weeks we need to say about Burge but will have people climbing up his arse still. Kelly non existent for most of te game.

Doyle was still trying to do everything himself on the 85th minute, I wouldn't be surprised if he start banging heads in the changing rooms.

Robins was stood there tonight hands in pockets when in contrast to their manager on the byline instructing the player, he looked lost and well and truly beaten. They came with a plan, they executed it. They saw our weakpoints and exploited them.

Yeah, think I just about agree with all of that, so won't even bother posting my own ratings.

Doyle was head and shoulders above every other player in sky blue tonight.

Just because he wasn’t intimated by them, was like watching the year 7 kids try and get their ball back off the 6th formers at time.

Embarrassing, I wouldn’t expect a City side to ‘respect’ Barcelona as much as city did to Lincoln tonight!

Bet they took the City players lunch money for tomorrow as well.

People take the piss when I say it, we needed to put some tough tackles in tonight.

Rhead strolled around line he was messi, why didn't anybody go through him? Call him a fat prick.

We see teams do it to us every week.

Very early on Haynes won the ball deep in our own half, but was quickly just shrugged back off it by a Lincoln player, who then broke towards goal and that set the tone for the entire 90 mins.

Sick to death of us losing in the physicality stakes. Same goes for pace too.

Out-paced, out-muscled.

Burge 2 not at fault for first poor at 2nd dived before they shot poor on 3rd under 8 mistake for 4th.
Grimmer 4 going forward ok poor defending for 3rd.
Willis 4. Reed ran him ragged.
McDonald 2 what happened to the player we had in August. Lost virtually ever header against Reed. At fault for first 3 goals.
Haynes 1. Why did he turn up looked like a boy in a mans game.
Bayliss 5 Did okay possibly best player on pitch for us.
Kelly 4 Didn't really do much.
Shipley 4 and that' for the goal. Like Haynes he is frightened on a tackle and his corners were awful.
Doyle 5. Broke a lot of their play up. Distribution as normal poor. Tried to do everything himslf for last 10 minutes but at least he cares.
JCH 4 Didn't really do much. Service to him was poor.
McNulty 4 service to him poor but didn't really test their defence.
Biamou 2. Has some Chinese syndicate got money on him being sent off. Lucky not to go again tonight. Stokes saved him at Notts C and the reg gave him a chance tonight.
JP 4 got in some good positions but missed a sitter.
Robins 2 it's alright having a tantrum on the radio but we were set up for the draw. He has one creative player in the squad so he puts JP on left midfield.

Where as the next time Haynes should have put him off the pitch.

These are people paid to be athletes, granted it isn't silly money but it's their job.

Stick a foot in and take a yellow. Don't be so scared.

Only Doyle tried to bully rhead tonight, be bounced off him once and won a free kick another time.

It needed first 15 mins when Rhead was bullying Haynes for Willis and McDonald to have gone “right next goal kick we both charge and flattern him”, give a fk away do it ‘apologise’ to the ref but leave your mark!

They don't.

What happened to letting people know at the start of the game?

I know it's not Sunday league, but Christ if somebody is strolling about like that they end up getting a bad tackle on them or something.

I got put on in a cup final once just to take a booking because one of their players was winning everything. Just literally tell them, stand on their feet, studs down ankles coming down from headers.

League 2 isn’t far off, that’s more the ‘art’ of this level than a 20 pass team move in the Prem.

We are a soft touch, should we make the playoffs and face Notts county or Lincoln again it’ll just repeat itself.

Cannot disagree with that although maybe Bayliss a 5, If only we had more players like Doyle, the rest of them apart from JCH should be ashamed that the most senior player in our team is almost twice the player that any of them are...yes I am so fucking angry tonight they should all fucking apologise to him after he's kicked fuck out of them all !!!!!!

Burge 4 Mr Bean is in goal again.

Grimmer 4 One or two forray’s forward but couldn’t defend for toffee.

Haynes 3 Just go in the summer please and put us all out of our misery. Truely abysmal.

Willis 4 Shades of L1 last season.

McDonald 4 The concrete mustn’t have been reinforced.

Shipley 5 Extra point for the goal but awful corners.

Bayliss 5 Good goal-not much else.

Kelly 5 Another step backwards.

Doyle 6 At least tries when others go hiding. Doesn’t have to take every free kick though.

McNulty 4 Nothing went right for him and should have been subbed.

JCH 6 Good first half and was shocked when he went off!

Subs Ponticelli 3 A natural goal scorer who can’t finish from 6 yards.

Biamou 3 Not a natural goal scorer who can’t finish from 3 yards.

Robins 2 Played right into Cowley’s hands.

It’s unbelievable how much of a free pass the other defenders get compared to Haynes. For if anyone rewatched the goals on the highlights, to rate Grimmer or McDonald higher in either the Yeovil or Lincoln matches, frankly, is blind.

Burge, 6 - couldn’t really do anything about the goals due to abject defending. Bumps up 1 mark with counter attacking throw for the first

Grimmer, 4 - watch him get absolutely skinned for the second, watch him miss the ball that led to their 3rd and where was he for the 4th? Nowhere.

Willis, 5 - guilty of ball watching for their second, bullied in the air like v Cambridge, it’s a common theme when’s Willis and McDonald play v physical teams i.e. Cambridge (a)

McDonald, 4 - missed the aerial battles that led to goals 1,2 and 3. Completely bullied.

Haynes, 5 - he and Willis failed to clear for goal number 2. Decent attacking and tackling though.

Kelly, 6 - thought he played quite well

Doyle, 6 - one of the few games I’ve seen him be matched for physicality.

Bayliss, 7 - we’ll taken goal, but at time his touch was off

Shipley, 7 - for the very well taken goal.

McNulty, 6 - didn’t have much going for him.

JCH, 7 - very well worked assist for the 1st.

Subs:

Biamou, 6 - won a few aerial contests and denied by a very good save
JP, 5 - got in to good goal scoring positions, but missed a sitter.

Like the Yeovil game, it was another case of abject defending. It is comical how we went from quite comfortably the best defence in the league... to this.

100% agree with this.

Haynes had a nervous couple of minutes at the start but in my opinion fought back excellently. I believe he will play at a higher level - he has pace and good attacking attributes. As Mucca says how many of the goals conceded have been from his channel over the last few games? Just get off his back and appreciate what he brings.

Bayliss faded in the second half but was spectacularly good in the first. Similarly Shipley.

I would also say that the key turning point was the penalty shout for Max immediately followed by their 4th goal. It looked like a certain penalty for me.

If we play Lincoln in the play-offs my money would be on us. We are by far the better footballing side - we do need to tighten up in the centre of defence.

I actually thought we edged the first half, but, Lincoln dominated the second. They sat back, countered and I think the game was won by about 75m. I had quite a good view of the penalty shout, and I’m not 100% sure. McNulty and JCH were going down in the slightest of contact and I think Biamou was fishing for a pen. All in all, our defence cost us because it really was poor, but, I do think this weird formation is leaving the full backs exposed. If anyone rewatches, Grimmer was still tracking back and I think we were just caught on the counter. Over two legs, we don’t beat Lincoln.

Judging from some of these ratings, it’s pretty clear a significant amount of people haven’t rewatched the goals. I was sat in block 16 (first half, switch for the second), so I couldn’t really make out what happened for their 3 goals. Grimmer and McDonald defensively have been dodgy recently. But, yesterday, I thought Grimmer offered more going forward than Haynes. You could see Doyle getting annoyed with Haynes and Shipley, it’s a weekly occurrence too.

In the summer, we need to invest in wingers, because we’ve not had a clear option there since Jones got injured, about 25 games ago!

Saturday is a must win now too, even if Mansfield seem intent of throwing it all away.

Compared to his defending colleagues, what did he do that was so ‘abysmal?’
