Comes down to which one is the most effective in games for me. At the moment that is Biamou. He works the centre halfs better, is better in the air and in recent games has been more of a presence. I also think he is more skilful. I am not sure that JCH is the answer up front.

The problem is neither of them are consistent. One can have a blinder one game, and then a stinker the next and vice versa. It’s clear to see Clarke Harris has more raw ability than Biamou, but he sometimes spends too much time sulking and throwing himself on the floor. At least with Biamou, you know you will always get 100%. At the present moment I would stick with Biamou but I still think a new target man is required in the summer.

Biamou. But JCH came in the right time just when he needed a break and gave is the boost he needed.

Still think there's a lot to come from both.
I actually think JCH has a very good free kick. Syrikes the dead ball very well. But we havnt really seen it in play. For example his penalty was awesome changed our season.

To cancel out G's vote - Biamou. Having said that, if JCH can apply himself properly he does have the ability to win me over. To me, JCH looks like he has a bit of attitude, which is fine when bossing a defender , but if he is not playing well he can look a bit sulky. Biamou is raw (fans know that) but has a work ethic which makes it easier to forgive any shortcomings. He is also improving.

The real answer is who would attract the biggest fee in a transfer market

If we sold Biamou what do people think clubs would pay for him?

Well, here's some stats for folks to consider:

(All competitions)

JCH: 17 games, 4 goals, 5 assists
Biamou: 45 games, 7 goals, 5 assists

Should be pretty self-evident, if you make a projection, in 45 games, JCH would probably on 10-12 goals.

What are McNulty's stats when playing with them. I suspect he scores a lot more goals when Biamou is on the pitch than JCH. If thats the case it comes down either wanting 2 strikers getting 12-15 goals each or 1 getting 20-25 and another 5-10. You also have to consider that in 17 of Max's games he's played less than 45 minutes with 10 of them less than 20 minutes. I'd say he's made amazing progress for someone who was only training 1 day a week last season.

I think they both have their attributes and if possible would hold on to them both, Ponticelli too. The 4 of them all offer something, particularly at this level.

i'd go with neither.

If we stay in this league, we need a 15 goal a season man to chip in and not surer either would make that

If we go up, well, see above

Well, JCH has got 2 assists directly to McNulty and McNulty has assisted JCH. That’s just off the top of my head. So I don’t buy into this idea that McNulty plays better alongside Biamou per se. At the very least, it isn’t fair to compare Biamou and McNulty over 30+ games to McNulty and JCH over 15-17 games. Therefore, I suspect that over the first 17 games of Biamou-McNulty would be roughly the same as JCH-McNulty. Yet, JCH has the same amount of assists in a third of Biamou’s game. To add to this, he’s assisted Bayliss twice too (Crewe and Lincoln), so I think it JCH has a larger impact on the team than Biamou overall. However, goalscoring-wise, Biamou has been better of late so I think he deserved to start v Cheltenham and now, Morecambe.

McNulty at L2 level is a special player, he’s got 23 goals and there’s a lot of those goals that are down to individual brilliance.

Biamou was brought in as a squad player from non-league to develop. He’s had to play a major role and has stepped up superbly. I would favour him over JCH but neither should really be starting in an ideal world.

It’s technically only 3 goals for JCH but agree that he should’ve been awarded the other one. That said, he’s scored one league goal from open play in 17 games, not great really.

JCH's temperament has held him back from playing at a higher level.
For the first time in a very long while we have 4 strikers (JCH, Max, Ponti & McNulty) who are worth keeping for next season.
I still think we need a beast of a striker (a bit like Lincoln have got) to offer a different option if things aren't going well, but actually strikers are not our main issue in the transfer market this summer, full backs are...

Biamou then - gosh I’m surprised. We’d get nothing fior Jch and something for max

Disagree - if both were on a two year deal what fees would they attract in your view?

I think Biamou will be massive for us next season. He’s improving game on game and he really did benefit from the rest when JCH came in.

Only an idiot cant see the potential in Biamou. Yes hes 27. But from where hes come from.

Have we seen him improve? First half of season to 2nd half. Yes massively.

Still far from finished article. He is already a better Footballer than Tom Pope (ok not as good in the air).

You cannot create talant! He has that in abundance. I spoke to DKE earlier in season at sky blue family zone, and just said how good he is in training.a few players have said that.

And yes i fucking love Max!

Ah sorry that’s not what you said. You said who could we get the most money for? Jch no question, however there’s is at least a debate for Saturday as to who will start and it’s likely on merit that Biamou will be the one that does

just to add some balance to the argument I would say Max didn't give 100% first half against Notts which is why he got hooked at half time. He was strolling around the pitch.

How many appearances did it take for Biamou to score his first? 20-25? Whilst I’m happy for Biamou, just because he’s hit form at the end of the season, doesn’t really change the aforementioned fact.

If we’re comparing the two, JCH has the same amount of assists in a third of the amount of games played. Yet, somehow, people are making the leap of faith that Biamou is somehow the catalyst for McNulty... It’s not Biamou has an assist record of 10-11 like Akinfenwa can boast!

If they play out a whole season with us, JCH scores more and makes more assists than Biamou. That’s what the statistical trends demonstrate.

I like Biamou, should start v Morecambe, and in the playoffs if he plays well on Saturday and we get there.

On current form it’s got to be Biamou.
However, this competition for places can only be a good thing right?

I agree he’s improved so much this season, so credit to him. But up until Easter, he was stuck on 1 goal for the season, roughly 30-35 games has past, with 3-4 assists.

If it’s unfair to compare the Biamou in his first games, but not JCH? JCH has only had about 12 starts, yet has still got 3 (if we take the Crewe goal off) goals and 5 assists to his name. Again, 5 assists in that period of time really is impressive, that’s more than Jodi Jones...

He has indeed improved massively. You could clearly see that he was coming to terms with League 2 football at first and it took him time.

Biamou is a class act! He has great ball control, wins almost every header, and is a team player. And he's already a player who creates time to play the ball...never panics. Defenders stand off him...this guy controls his own space. Exciting...and let's not forget there's more to a striker than just scoring goals...the goals will come in abundance I believe...just hope we can hold on to him to reap the benefits. Biamou every time!!!

If the question is: JCH for £8k-a-week next season or Biamou for £2k-a-week then I'm picking Biamou. I'm a fan of JCH but he isn't worth that much, not cost effective at all. To take a baseball saying, I doubt his VORP (Value Over Replacement Player) is that high compared to Maxime.

Forget choosing between them, they are both needed, its a squad game and competition for places is a good thing.

Just let the manager decide how to use them.
