I would argue that the laughing gull has a blacker head than the black headed gull

I can understand celebrating promotion, but this will be no different to the start of the season when we were in the playoffs due to our alphabetical listings.

Why celebrate making the playoffs? Why even suggest it?

Jesus chilli out it’s just a bit of fun....and I’m not sure how it’s the same as the start of the season bearing in mind we would have earned the right to be there (bizarre analogy). Given our somewhat non-existent set of accomplishments in the league I understand why some will view it as an acheivement of sorts..our first play offs ever, potentially our first top six finish in x amount of years and something to play for at the end of the season.

Because if you don't make the play offs, you can't win in the final, like if you don't win your quarter final you won't get to the final.
It is a milestone, maybe an open top bus parade is too much but its a stepping stone on to greater things.

Risk a 3 year banning order? No ta. Few pints with the lads in the sunshine on the Cherry Tree patio will do nicely. Maybe even put a few Enemy and Ska tunes on the juke box.

I find this attitude slightly weird. It’s like not celebrating getting to a semi-final of a cup. Obviously there’s still the job to do, but Jesus, even making the playoffs with our history is something to celebrate. I’m not saying get on the pitch, cuz frankly I find it really embarrassing how a section of our fans are permanently doing it, but at least take in we’ve made it *IF* we actually make it. If you can’t celebrate that, you won’t celebrate much as a city fan

Sorry but just over 12 months ago I was at Wembley celebrating my club achieving something worthwhile. Making the playoffs is not a huge achievement.

No wonder our fans get berated on Social media with attitudes like this.

Out of interest do you not celebrate goals as they don’t guarantee you anything?

I would definitely take battling for promotion over that shitty cup. Great day and everything but "worthwhile"? Really?

OK OK to backtrack slightly, when I wrote worthwhile I meant actually winning something.

I was doing two things at once at that point. Sorry.

The pitch invasion when we got to Wembley last season was great. Getting into the play offs for the first time in our history is a similar achievement.

Haven’t read the responses so apologies if it’s already been said but running on the pitch to celebrate this Football club making the 4th tier playoffs is embarrassing, should have been the very very least we expected this season!
You're right but IF we make it through to the final, isn't it a tiny ray of sunshine in what has been the grey stomcloads of Sisu and the like over the past 10 years?

And it's this attitude of not respecting the teams and divisions we're in that has helped contribute to our consistent decline. We should celebrate getting into the playoffs in league 2 because we are a league two club.

So achieving a play off place warrants a pitch invasion!?

I should be “right that’s the minimum we expected, no let’s hit our expectations of promotion”.

And there is only one reason we are in L2 and been on the decline and we all know what that is.. ..

A good old day on the beers starting beforehand, continuing long after the 5-9 win, whilst applauding our former players in the sunshine at half time. Tomorrow has all the ingredients to be a perfect day.

Very much doubt I’d go on the pitch myself, it was bizarre that it happened last week to be honest. It’ll be a moment that the chavvier contingent of our supporters will embrace without hesitation I’m sure. They are double hard after all.
