around 20 or so morecambe fans walked around to the smoking area at half time and started on Coventry fans
Went terribly for them to be honest , absolute madness never seen away fans do that at the Ricoh

Different scenes at the end. Both supporters celebrating with each other.

Shouldn’t there be stewards keeping an eye on the smoking area? How can people just wander off?

The stewards that man the "smoking corral" in the away end are agency staff. Most of them struggle to put together a sentence in English. The ones assigned to the away end today were telling Morecambe fans it was ok for them to sit on the stairways if they wanted to! 90% of them are from Wolverhampton and never done football games.

What a strange thing to do??? Literally suicide surely?
A lot of city old boys at the game today , and outside at half time enjoying a cigarette , unfortunate for morecambe fans that decided to play billy big bollocks in the worst possible place at the worst possible time

So was it proper scrap or did they get in their toes? How the fuck did they manage to get out and come round?

There was an altercation outside at full time on the way towards the train underpass on way to Tesco, where there is a barrier between city fans and away fans in the car park. A bit of fisticuffs and a copper drew his batton and tried to wallop one of ours. One of those involved was someone who tried to get at the Brighton fans back in January and I had to stop him constantly throughout the second half. Tosser.

Me and my dad came to the conclusion that they were on a coach or bus that arrived at half time and they were walking from the ticket office direction , either that or they left at half time took a wrong turn and walked around the ground the wrong way looking for a pub ,they goaded city fans as they walked towards the away end and ending up getting a hell of a slap , they were pretty badly knocked about.
Not sure they expected the reaction they got but you just don’t start in a place like that
