is absolutely second to none for a 36 year old, have no worries about his ability to go another season. Also good to have him get in the ref's face for his poor first half display.

He's kept himself very fit. Believe he played pretty much all of Portsmouth games (in the league at least) last season. Good job too, I'd worry about the strength of our midfield without that kind of player in there.

Yup. Now if only he could control a ball without having to contort his body lol

I have been very impressed with Doyle and my fears about him being too old have been proved wrong. Not the best passer in the world but over all at this level you get a very solid and reliable package.

I thought Doyle looked knackered last night one of his least effective performances but still been a brilliant signing for us

That booking (after Biamou had a rant at the ref) left him having to rein it in a bit - yes, he looked a bit tired, but so was I just watching.

I thought he looked that way but more because he had to control himself, few breaks away by Notts and 50/50 challenges he didn’t go in for as he was on a yellow and those conditions he would have been a certainty for a red card.
Annoying he got the yellow the way he did, as I’m sure he’d have enjoyed getting the obligatory yellow by taking someone out at full steam in those conditions!

Doyle 1st spell here would have been sent off last night.

Agreed. I know he got a bit of stick when he was with us first time around, for being quite limited but I think he’s a terrific League 1/League 2 player. If we had him and Robins in last season, instead of Slade and Callum O’Reilly, I’m convinced even with the wank team we had, we wouldn’t of gone down

Totally agree...there were many doubters of Doyle but for me he is our player of the season 100%
