Exactly my point Otis. It was clear rhead did that on purpose against a goalie who gets all sorts of protection and nothing was done.

I don't think the Davies stamp was all that bad, but I can see him being banned for it.

Why didn't anyone look at the Rhead incident?

Had they done so he would have been banned for maybe 6 matches.

Wasn’t he booked for it?

Just checked the game. Rhead was booked. Must be for that incident mustn't it?

Definitely should have been sent off for sure.

The Sunday Times suggesting he could be banned for Friday second leg as the EFL will use video evidence for the alleged stamping.
Let's hope not as he was immense last
night.

Well it must be true if that rag The Sunday Times say so,he won't be banned

He shouldn’t be retrospectively banned just because it was a televised game. Richard Duffy said he apologised to him and Davies said it was an accident.

If the EFL or FA want to bring in citing committees in the future to deal with incidents like last night or Rhead’s, then fine, I’m for it. But, to doing in an arbitrary way? I don’t think so.

Another daft rule.

So if someone gouges another player's eyes, but only gets booked, the FL can do nothing?

Pritty sure they changed that rule at the start of the season, or maybe that was just the premier league.

I'd like to see the challenge on Bayliss again, mid way through the first half where he got clattered from behind. Ref gave a free kick and nothing more, where it looked a defo yellow.

There is the 2 on Kelly and the 1 on Burge as well where their players went in at chest height.

I’ve seen it now.

There’s enough doubt around intent, so for that reason surely it cannot be a retrospective ban. Plus if the player involved (Duffy) is not claiming it was intentional surely there is not enough of a case to ban him. But the EFL are clueless fools so who knows.

He’s our best defender by a mile and he’s pivotal against Stead/Ameboi and Rhead if we meet Lincoln next.

Did that fat twat matt rhead get retrospectively done for absolutely smashing shrews goalie in the efl trophy final? No. So shut up, move on and let's beat them Fri

Funnily enough, it was the same ref in the checkatrade final ;)

An awful ref can cause things to happen as well. For instance when things are let go it builds up and it usually ends up with somebody getting smashed.

It's not as bad as made out during the game after seeing it.

It's no worse than Doyle being punched in the back of the head against cheltenham or the multiple other things that have gone against us.

It doesn't look as if be puts much weight on it compared to a full on stamp trying to injure.

We have got away with a few tbf. Loved Doylers bite on Dunnes leg at Swindon whike he wss sat on floor. Dunne retaliated and got sent off.

It's all part of the game.

While looking for a video of it I came across this...

So maybe he does have a nasty streak in him...

I remember it Ameobi is a right one. Pushes and pulls and then falls to the floor dead. Ref did quite well with those

I didn't see that one either on the night.

However, has anyone got video of the County away game where they were committing all sorts of dubious acts.

It has no relevance

It does in terms of their fans whining. That's what I am focusing on.

Well it doesn’t as we’d be whining if it was the other way round - it’s just the way fans are. Also this was a big game and we looked out of it until the decision

Pretty sure the game at their place was a big game too. We could have overtook them in the table and pushed for third with a win (plus game in hand).
